I used to use that team, then SC/Doom was fun too. My Cable’s ass though, and I rely too much on assists. MSP and Thrax are who I play with now, and my random fun team is Clockwork.
We should do that again. I’ll bring Marvel out of retirement for that. I’ll host again. Wired, this time :tup:

Bah, I ran Akuma/Cyc/Commando in MVC2. No idea if they have any synergy or anything. I was total trash. I fare better in MVC3 because who doesn’t? The best I got was mastering Doom’s loops before I quit the game.

I played Ryu/X/Guile, X would either be Spider-man or Ice Man; and then I got a grown ass man team of Sentine/Blackheart/ Commando. Then I ruined my local fun community by figuring out how to do iAHVB, afterwards that 2 of the guys in our playgroup would play nothing but Cable.
But then I got that ultimate counter pick with Spiral/Cable/Doom. How was this a counter-pick? Because I was the only one that knew how to pushblock properly (in the context of that group, I was the only one that knew how to techroll too). This was independent of the good players that were traveling to Evo in other parts of the city.
I just gotta admit that I have absolutely no clue how to use 1. Magneto and 2. Commando. Just never got into the big ass ROM combos and tri jumping. Choose Spiral, thro knives.:rock:
That shit’s still hard, though. 
Commando’s a shoto + qcf+HK. He’s easy.
Magneto is dash up s.lp and learn to do the ROM setup and 5-fierce combo. There, you learned both characters.

Its kinda funny how much people enjoyed MvC2 without being able to do a lot of the more advanced stuff. I guess there’s a lot to be said about learning to do hard stuff. I remember the first time I could do a couple of dust loops after some a lot of time trying felt like: FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUCK YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEAH!
Odd there’s no video thread in the MvC2 subforum, especially for new-ish stuff. I’m contemplating making one, since I like this channel, and some local, recent arcade footage. Philippines still using L1 damage though… lots of Iceman, Iron Man, Cable, and the occasional mid tiers.

Bought all the shit for my computer yesterday. Came to 1k (including monitors). I’m not looking forward to all the rebate shit I’m gonna need to fill out. Or buying a new desk/chair since I don’t want to be using that shit from the ground.
