I play MvC2 like it’s using the ST engine.
i’m pretty sure the ff4 snes cart had it spelled incorrectly (with the e included), but to be sure i would have to go home and put that shit in to verify.

yeah they properly spelled it correctly in later versions of the game and in the ff4 remake for gba; however, i wanted to keeps it real og with the snes cart. plus it’s how i have my aim name spelled as well so it wouldn’t make sense to deviate.

I just cant take the game seriously. Marvel 3 is just retarded, and Marvel 2 is like Counter Strike. You’ve either played for the last 10 years or you’re bad.
Yes, Marvel 3 is retarded. But at least I can take 3 people, stick em together, and the team actually has a chance against other teams. I just wish they’d nerf the fuck out of some characters. I fail to understand why some characters need to have retarded loops that wipe out all health on an opponent. NOBODY should die in 1-2 combos, except Phoenix.
Marvel is the most rage inducing game I can still tolerate playing.
I remember somebody saying that Marvel 2 kept SRK alive. I have a hard time disagreeing with that comment. Its even more hard to explain the psychological effect that Marvel 2 had on you the first time you saw it. It was there and it had everybody. Everybody and some random awesome people were in that game.
The best way I can explain it is: Marvel 2 is a redhead with natural C cups and Marvel 3 is a fake blonde with double D implants.

Marvel is like Smash to me. It’s fun, but nobody should take it seriously.
Marvel 3’s fun and fast, and the more knowledge you acquire from playing the game the less you’ll look at things as “bullshit.” You adapt and learn, kind of like how you had to learn to deal with ST throw loops and shit. If you didn’t adapt and learn, you got raped, or you move on/quit playing the game all together.
Marvel 3 is the main FG I play, with the occasional 3S and Alpha 2. I’ve been playing Diablo 2 again lately, I geared up my Whirlwind Assassin. I went to turn on my PC today and it won’t boot up properly. Monitor won’t display anything, and Windows startup doesn’t even happen. I think it has something to do with Windows XP, my HDD or maybe even my video card. The HDD light won’t even flash when I turn it on, so that’s one of the reasons I think it’s my HDD.
I don’t think Marvel 3’s bullshit.
I just don’t like it.

You’re confusing your Marvels. The weird thing about the Marvel games is that 2, while the most played is probably the one with the least bullshit. Some people would say SFvsMSH but nobody gives a fuck about that game except people that don’t wanna man up and move to 2. Before that you had SFvX and people just randomly die there. You have to work to get in on somebody but if you touched them, they probably died. This can happen in Marvel 2 but it is really damn hard. The person with the easiest way infinite is Iron Man but he is considerably harder to play than the rest of the cast (by harder it means that his tools aren’t as great as the top 4).
So Marvel 2 gets the series into this really technical and complicated game with a lot of insane really hard split second decisions and then 3 brings it back to the shitty “you got touched and then you died” past of SFvX and to some extent MvC1. The truth of the matter is that they should’ve had JWong explain to the japanese developers why the top characters were so good in that game and then worked MvC3 around that. Real problem though is that in MvC3 a lot of the characters are so much better and deal so much more damage that random people that would never be a threat in 2 suddenly are “good” in 3.
That and teleports. Teleports everywhere!
you can bitch about MvC3 all you want, but I can pull off a few loops, I can do high hitting combos, and OTG into bigger and better combos, I can tri-jump and wave dash (albeit shitty at both), and most importantly I can WIN. I could care less if the same people who still cry about parrying are crying about MvC3 not being MvC2. To me, that’s a good thing.
