Term esports is stupid, but i don’t mind game spectating. I do a good bit of it myself, i just think it’s stupid for people to be making 50K plus an event doing this. Sports players get paid WAAAAAAAAAAY to fucking much as it is, playing people that kind of scratch to play videogames is just really dumb. Lot of people ou here doing real work, with real results, being paid fucking shit, yet some pimple faced fuck is bring home amazing money for Star Craft? It’s just messed up and backwards. Society has it’s priorities all fucked up, as usual.

I like sports. Actually, I will sit down and watch any competitive endeavour and read up on strategy. More than anything I like learning games and how they are played and a bunch of stuff relating to the high level play.
Competition is fun. Only thing I can’t deal with are sports where you can’t deter your opponent from winning except by doing better. Golf, track, bowling etc. I’ll still ask question to inform myself and be a better person but damn, do they make for really boring competition.

easy. I typically have played the exact same video or a similar genre of video game to the one i am watching. so watching the best players go at it is awesome. of course some games are better spectators sports. team fps i’m not a big fan of watching because its hard to keep track of how the team is working together. its much more fun to play than to watch. watching 1v1 games like RTS and fighting games are great though. they are action packed, the action is easy to follow, and there is a lot of brilliant high level play going on.
i don’t really play any contact sports so i don’t give a fuck about any of them. dont get me wrong i respect all of those people as athletes (except baseball players) but its just boring to watch for me. especially baseball. god thats the worst fucking game ever. i dont understand how any guy from this generation would rather watch a bunch of dudes stand around for minutes on end while nothing fucking happens as opposed to watching laser beams going pew pew and slicing up zerglings. football is similarly dull for me because most of the time there is just way too much downtime. half the time they’re just standing around before the next play.

Since we’re on the subject of sports, I have to ask something that I’m genuinely curious about: What’s the appeal of baseball to people?
It’s supposedly America’s “favorite pastime”, but I honestly have found it completely boring even when I’ve watched this. This compared to finding basketball or (American) football at least somewhat interesting if I happen to watch them (with others); I just choose not to watch them, like with pretty much all sports.
So…yeah? If anyone wants to at least give some input about finding baseball interesting, then I’ll listen even if I’ll likely not agree.
