Just like how I heard Skyline ended. Wasn’t that also in Los Angeles? Outside of some plot contrivance, any sufficiently advanced race that can travel at light speed and was hostile should be able to destroy us easily as one destroys a colony of ants, especially if it has/can call for back-up.
