BuzzFeed News has certainly gone to shit these last few months. They still churn out a good story here and there, but the rest of what they consider “news” is garbage. It’s also SEVERELY misleading. So much so I’m shocked they haven’t been sued for libel. Of course I have an example.
This article is accuses a man of secretly video taping women and snapping crotch shot at the park (I thought it was Million, too, but this dude is white) so it reads:

That little bold text right there? BF and its swarm of followers are using that as an admission of guilt from the guy. They don’t even want to acknowledge that it is a public space meaning they have no expectation of privacy. Even if they did, BF makes tons of posts where this is okay for them to do but not for some dude sitting at the park. Anyway, it continues:
Dilan says she watched him film women inappropriately for 10 minutes but she only has video of her going up to him and accusing him of doing it. That’s what the article completely leaves out. What was the BPD supposed to do, arrest this guy on the accuser’s word? The writer of this article should have known better than to fan the flame with zero proof, but I put 100% of the blame on the editors for even letting this go through.
That’s just the latest article that’s making me question their integrity. Many others are fine and well written. But it’s stuff like this that makes me wonder if someone is asleep at the wheel.
You’d be surprised (or may be not) by how many people think officers can just walk up to people or straight into houses and arrest them based on just what they said.
Newsrooms dont make as much money as gossip. It very well could be that a section which once was solid has gotten the beatdown internally from the parent company.
If he was willing to defend them and now was willing to call them out on bullshit, then it probably marks an unfortunate change in that part of the organization.

You were lauding the talent whenever someone would bemoan BuzzFeed a few months ago. I was wondering if something happened like writers leaving or something else.
That happens all the time, but the articles I’ve specifically pointed out are from reporters who aren’t seasoned journalists taken from major national newspapers and websites. They seem like either interns or just shitty journalists. Again, the news department is comprised of a shitload of people.
Man wesley snipes cant catch a break. I watched 10 minutes of the second episode of The player, and never came back. Shows kinda stupid. I just wanted to see wesley snipes win. Minority report was of course going to fail, because its not interesting, and anything involving wilmer whatever that isnt the 70s show, sucks. Megan good isnt even hot enough to make me watch another episode of minority report.
Wesley is a good actor, with a great presence on screen, im sure he will fit in somewhere else.
