Hey how can one go about learning coding for game design and computers and software in general? Don’t want to enroll in something like Art Institute or Fullsail University because I can’t afford another student loan. Although I do hear great things about Fullsail University, so would that school be worth it?

There’s tons of free coding sources these days.

Hmm OK thanks. Also local meet ups? What you mean like a tech club or something? Because that would be perfect because I prefer learning in person with someone instructing me. I don’t learn well on my own.

Install Unity and follow the tutorials on the Unity website, you’ll have to learn C# but I think that can be done in tandem with Unity. There are loads of resources on the internet as far as coding goes. You just have to have the drive and find the time to grind.

Hmm well my laptop is a HP with AMD FX chip I believe with a 4cpu + 6GPU. I’m just reading the info stickers I don’t know what this means lol. But the dude at best buy who sold it to me said it was great for gaming. And yeah I do have unity downloaded and fiddled around with it. Even bought a book on learning to use unity. But I struggle learning on my own. IDK maybe I just need to focus more. Try getting out the house and going to the library to study and practice IDK. I guess I’m so conditioned and use to having an instructor or teacher lay out a curriculum for me, and grade my work and tell me how I’m progressing. How do you guys just teach yourselves? Seems impossible to me.
