And the full title is “This Hour Has 22 Minutes”, so clearly it is a joke and been around for over 20 years.

It has commercials and is slotted for an hour so it’s clearly not 60 minutes of actual show.

I love what they can get away with. One of the hosts interviewed a woman in a hijab, pointed at the microphone they attached on her and yelled “OMG SHE HAS A WIRE ON HER… Oh wait we put that there.”

Fun fact: Chinese has only one pronoun for an external person, and it interchangeable in spoken language for he/she/it. You have to infer the gender of the person being talked about. Often, Chinese learning English or other languages get confused because of this and often use the wrong pronouns and even interchange them within the same sentence.
In written language, it is easy to differentiate as it is 他 for he, 她 for she, and 它 for it.
Gender neutral pronouns in English, however, sounds like some bullshit @iantothemax and @specs would do during their post-coital cigarettes.
