MKX fucked itself when they didn’t put Noob Saibot, Shang Tsuang, Frost, Bo Rai Cho, Scarlett and Freddy in the game.

Fixed for the future

Shang Tsung is dead and has no place in the story, so he’s not coming back. Everyone else has a good chance since a bunch of them are in the story and you even fight some of them.

I dunno. I was talking to some folks about the non-playable returning characters that you fight in the story (Baraka and Sindel (though I know I’m missing someone)), and they were saying that they were basically ported directly from MK9 and made to look pretty. They don’t have any variations or anything, and just throw out their MK9 moves, down to the normals. I suggested that they simply weren’t done yet, but I couldn’t disagree with that person’s point.

Story itself seemed rushed. Didn’t get to use a bunch of the bad guys, barely used all the Earth realm guys, and the npc characters were doing mk9 moves, but I attribute that to them not being finished, or given variations yet.

I am off till Wednesday night, and I begin celebrating 4/20 tonight too. Gonna play fuckton of MK X, maybe even try a non QUAN Chi character!

I guess moving forward scorpion no longer exist it’s just hanzo now. At least the sub-zero/scorpion rivalry is over now and boon has no more reasons to try and push that feud.

This bugged me too, they barely did fuck all in the game.

I don’t think I have touched Sub Zero or Scorpion in an MK game since MK2.

Why doesn’t Scorpion do Toasty no more?

And Shang Tsung has sucked since he lost the ability to morph into EVERYBODY

That shit was epic if you could remember the combo for whichever cast member. Now everyone would collectively call bullshit for some reason.

*** Alright Lounge, I need help for my friend who is currently having Computer problems: **

He has a 4ish year old computer he had built whose Sata ports got fucked somehow sometime last year. Since it started malfunctioning the SATA drive won’t read the actual hard drive it’s connected to. So what he did was bought an external HDD and used WintoUSB to get boot files into his external so he could boot Windows 7 from there. He’s able to restart his computer and boot from his external just fine at first. He’s even able to shut down his computer and connect the external HDD to his laptop and attempt to copy files from his laptop to the newly created user profile of his old computer.

**However **, after he does this if he shuts down his computer the registry files somehow get corrupted and he’s took to the recovery menu when he boots up his computer. No matter what he does on the recovery menu he’s put on an endless loop back to the recovery menu upon shutdown.

He’s tried using an exact system image to help with things but even that is useless. Something is screwy with his dvd drive as well so he’s unable to boot from windows 7 boot disc. Is there anything he can do to fix this? *

may be a power issue (as in the power supply might have random fluctuations that mess with operation or maybe even cooked something on his motherboard) plug a different power supply into his motherboard and see if stuff is still screwy.

if it is still screwy

easiest thing would be to figure out what motherboard his computer has and buy a refurbished one from ebay or amazon and plug all of his old hardware into it. all driver information is held in the hard drive. even if he got a different motherboard windows would still be like “yo, these drivers don’t go with what you plugged in.” it will still run though.

Why? What Shang did in MK9 was the best way to handle it.

He had a combo-able soul steal special that turned him into whoever he was fighting and gave him a 50% damage increase during his time transformed.

Shinnok can only steal one move and use it one time before he has to steal it again.

Being critical of a game that has sucked for decades is hating now? Hats off to Boon for trying to make the series legit but time and time again NRS doesn’t know wtf it’s doing. At least Capcom can make a decent game(Fuck off Po). The only legit MK fan here is Black Jag.

The 3D MK games sucked but MK9/injustice are massive improvements that MKX has refined nicely. At this point saying MKX sucks is a dated opinion especially if you using the 3D era as the metric to gauge the series quality. Also I would say capcom DID make better fighters but SF4/MVC3/SFXT kind of make that claim moot at this point.

You would pretty much only morph into the top tier guys. I’d remember Jax, Mileena, Kung Lao, and the ninjas, in mk2.

His character was always able to change into whoever he had stolen the soul of, not steal moves from a dude.

Besides, it was fun starting a combo as one character, continuing as Shang, then finishing with another.
