Speak for yourself, race traitor. Maybe in the South, the White man forces you to listen to his terribad songs about pickup trucks and scandalous housemakers, but not in the Northeast.
And I’m from the EXACT same city you’re from. Shit, we’re only maybe two years apart in age. But you know what? I KNOW you knew this song because no black person in our city didn’t know it.
I read in a guitar magazine that Nashville only selects a handful of musicians to back all the mainstream country stars. I wonder if this is the same with all mainstream music, that only a few help keep churning out the “hits.”
Even if you don’t like that version of country, you can’t deny its importance in music. I’m talking about 1950s-1960s country that had a profound impact on some of the most important bands in the world. Just as an example, listen to how country impacted the sound of the Rolling Stones so much they had to hire outside musicians to make their records (some of their best selling ever) sound like country and undoubtedly made them sound better.
I’m not saying that country mixed with pop is the best, it really isn’t, but country is amazing and when it’s combined with blues it can make some of the best music to ever exist.
Just because you play an instrument doesn’t mean you get to write the songs. They might just be studio musicians or live musicians while someone else is charged with composing the song. I wouldn’t doubt that, to be honest, as I think this whole shift from “musician” to “artist” has opened the door to doing that. Most people these days don’t give a fuck who compose and wrote a song.
I know Kayo was originally a guy, but she’s hotter than 97% of the broads any of you can pull and you would be so lucky to make out with her. If she removed her penis, I would totally try to hit that.
Come on, son. I heard motherfuckers in the corner blasting that DMX album all summer during, what, 98? But I know for a FACT whenever we hung out and my mix tape blared some country shit they were fucking tapping those toes.
