Man, Obama is going to have a target on his back for the rest of his life. I bet that for whoever the next president winds up being his secret service detail will be about the same as Obama’s when he is retired. People hated Bush but I can’t imagine him getting gunned down now, five years out of office. Obama? Tch. And he’ll have to worry about his kids and his wife too. Damn.
Thats what dat nigga gets for bein president twice!
just watched Amazing Spiderman again, didnt realize how good Aunt May be looking
It would be so great if there were a portable version of Skyrim, or any other action-RPG that I like. It seems this will never happen. A portable version of Kingdoms of Amalur would’ve been THE SHIT™ but of course there’s no hope for that franchise now.
Portable gaming is so much easier to get into, imo… since you can go right back to playing more quickly than console games these days. For quite some time now, it takes a long time to actually get started… turn on a tv, wait for the system screen to start up and show a logo, then another logo screen, then if you’re on PS3 you may have to download a few updates for the next 32 minutes, then there’s the 5 logo screens you have to see before the game itself starts, then you’re booted offline because there’s an update for that particular game…then you sit through the loading and logo screens again, THEN you might be able to start playing. So ridiculous… you could order a pizza and it will be there on your table by the time you’re able to play the game.
With the PSP’s “standby” or sleep mode, whatever it’s called… there was none of that bullshit. It was such a great convenience. If the 15 minute break at work ends, you just turn it off into the sleep mode… then at lunch time you could pick up EXACTLY where you left off; you’re playing the game again from that very spot in the 1 second it takes to flip the switch to “ON” again. It’s a beautiful thing. The Phantasy Star games were the only action-RPGs on there that I cared about though. If there would’ve been an Amalur or Skyrim on there, my addiction to those games would’ve been off the charts, and I’ve already put hundreds of hours into console Amalur as it is. Sheeeit, even if Fable 2 was on a portable system, I would’ve been all over that too, despite my love/hate relationship with that game.
Y’know, it’s one of the few things that continues to piss me off about this modern era of gaming… NOBODY makes the kind of games I care about on portable systems. There’s no quality action-RPGs that I want besides the Phantasy Stars, and there’s no “stylish action” games (and I doubt there ever will be, since the folks behind the DMC franchise appear to be morons, and there’s no hope for the Bayonetta franchise anymore; you can count on it ending with part 2 on WiiU.). The systems are great, but their lineups are 99% shit that I don’t care about. No, I don’t want to be a “Cooking Mama”, or some random piece of shit where I have to touch the screen to make a smiley-faced dork-ass character cross a goddamn street, get the hell outta here with that foolishness.
…which reminds me; one thing to do when you’re rich and left frustrated with the way the games industry is going–> assemble your own personal development team…and they would be on the payroll to produce games that cater specifically to YOUR taste. I’d love that, and hell yes I would certainly do it. I’d finally get to enjoy the games I want to play, and everyone else in the world can go suck a turd.
My mom’s argument for voting for Romney…
-
Well what news do you read? - Me: New York Times, CNN, and I listen to NPR - (her boss) reads those too
** This means she gets her information from her boss, who makes about $300k/yr. -
Even his own people (meaning black people) aren’t all voting for him.
** I don’t know why she would say this or where the fuck it came from, because I’ve never known my mom to be racist. -
He’s a shmuck that just goes on TV all the time instead of doing his job.
** So does Romney, so did Bush. It just happens to be that we live in the age of the internet, so it seems like around more than the others. Hell, so did Clinton, where every few weeks he’d be somewhere playing sax or getting his dick licked. -
Half the country is jobless.
** NO FUCKING IDEA… I’m going to give her the benefit of the doubt as she might have meant something else. Also, if you recall Romney during the second debate: “Government doesn’t create jobs”, which is true. -
Gas prices are super high. He wont allow domestic drilling, which keeps gas prices high.
** They peaked higher during Bush’s administration - remember the $4.50 national average? Also, you know Canada? Yeah, they’re energy independent, and they pay the same price per gallon after liter to gallon and CAD to USD conversions. Mind you, I will admit that if we drilled here, there would be more local jobs, but that’s a slightly bit different of a topic. -
Obama just favors poor people so they can sit on their asses and collect welfare without having to work
** This is honestly something that I don’t know how to respond to, as it’s the first time I heard that argument. -
What has he actually accomplished during his term?
http://whatthefuckhasobamadonesofar.com/ - That’s my only answer for that. While I don’t normally like to have a cop-out answer like this, he’s done a lot and I don’t feel like going down a list.
ANYWAY…
I have an actual question - why do military and former military tend to vote right?
And off the rest of this, I really like this poem.

The military thing is a bit hard to answer. The family of officers seem to be bat shit bonkers, regular enlisted no idea, disabled vets vote for anybody who has shown that they won’t cut funding to the VA.
But yeah, officers families.
Edit: Since you mentioned poetry, GOAT Poem:
In a Station of the Metro
The apparition of these faces in the crowd;
Petals on a wet, black bough.
That could account for some, but I’m hesitant to generalize their families without statistics of some kind - and that’s something hard to gauge, because who would be willing to partake in a study that calls them insane?
My guess is that the right seems to be pro-military, but I’m not even sure on that one anymore.
As for the vets thing, that’s not entirely true, but there’s exceptions always… to everything. I mean, Obama added funding to VA hospitals to get vets easier access to mental health care and such, but I’m sure vets still voted for Romney this time around. Either because they didn’t know, didn’t care, or are just plain ignorant.
These stairs in LA going up to the MTA platform had words on them. Art installation, not just graffito
I was sorta having a mental breakdown, or a start of one thinking I was stuck down there, and now the friggin’ stairs are talking to me?! It was like ~50 stairs too.
IMAX bond, is best bond. Javier Bardem IS the bond villain for the new millennium. the exchanges he has with everyone is top science tier.
Recently, Obama gave the power to choose welfare qualifications to the states. That’s not the same as saying people no longer have to work to get assistance, it’s allowing states to choose the best course to give out welfare. This especially helps states with high unemployment and low open jobs, since these people may be willing to work but have no market to work with. This is something Republicans always want, to give power to the states, but as soon as Obama did it they turned it around to seem like a negative.
Your mother is a fucking idiot.
Happy Rememberance Day.
The next time you’re an asshole to somebody, don’t forget that people died so you can have that freedom.
why you unbuttoning my shirt bro?

@Million I like how I missed your post completely, so, gonna respond to it now.
In terms of going a full Art majoring route, I had began as an Illustration major at Pennsylvania College of Art and Design. Hated it. Most of my professors were pretensions assholes and coming straight out of high school, I wasn’t mentally ready for it. So, I left after a year. Still friends with some people that graduated from their and they work at like, GameStop or something corny. Not worth that for 20k a year and we had to get apartments cause they didn’t have dorms.
Left and came back to Jersey. Went to community college and switched to Computer Systems, which focused a lot more on hardware rather than software. I had an awesome professor, but I didn’t feel like I had a passion for it like I did Art. My mom told me about Art Therapy, since it’s a blend of Psychology and Art. Seemed pretty awesome. Switched to NJCU, since it was one of the two universities in Jersey that offered it. Took most of the classes and looked into getting my Art Teaching certification after I’m done (in my Junior year now). Cause with Art Therapy, along with any therapy related job, you have to have your Masters. Luckily, I can come back into my university after I graduate and do the cert and my mom works in a school and the Art Teacher there already told me she’d let me do my teaching practicum with her. I informed the principal of my mom’s school as well and he was happy to hear that and told me to just let him know when I needed to be there to get started with that. I’ll be getting my subbing license as well to get more exposure to the school systems (since I want to work with kids). Once I’m done with that, I can focus on getting my Master’s and head from there. Though, Art Therapy is ridiculously specialized, so, that could be an issue if someone doesn’t want that as a career. Oh, and I might work more with the Special Needs population. While they might not be able to fully understand concepts and techniques, their appreciation of it is so much more gratifying than some snot nosed bastard that think Art is a joke. I take my passion seriously.
Nevertheless, if I can help a kid out going through some rough shit through Art, like it helped me… I think it’s well worth doing. And just going through the classes made me grossly self-aware. Like, I cried in class working with clay. I don’t like clay. I have a legit aversion to it, but, my reaction and how my professor handled it were just possible scenarios of what I could face in a “real-world” scenarios and how to flow with it instead of cause more problems. I learned a lot more about myself in doing art experientials… Like, a lot of us were doing some hardcore projecting in their work. It was very eye-opening, revealing and humbling at the same time. I love it.
But majoring in Art completely? Nonsense. I did a side hustle with just drawing/painting shit for people. Once Kooper and I get our own place, I’ll have room to starting painting again.
Fuck Acrylics. Oil4Lyfe.
Sent from my iPhone 4S cause fuck you.
No more Tennant as the doctor. Yeah just got there. Hope the new guy holds it down.
If you think that argument is bad I used to have a ton on socialism versus privatization against my dad. I remember saying if privatization is so good why don’t we do it to the police force and fire fighters.
If hasn’t happened the day before people usually forget quite easily. I’m not saying it’s the age, it is mainly they chose to not recognize something that doesn’t directly effect them or hold their interests. Hardly anyone remembers SOPA or ACTA that isn’t on the computer constantly.
anybody know if there is a way to unlock all maps in tony hawks pro skater HD(xbox version). I dont feel like playing all day to unlock new maps. did this like zillion years ago on the ps1 version.

Here’s a step-by-step video of how to get Quake 1 modded with Dark Places+Rygels hi-res texture pack. The textures are so damn detailed that it looks better than 99.9% of modern games, it’s too good. I’m putting all of these files on an external HDD next to my Doomsday engine for Doom 1 and 2. You’ll need a pretty beefy PC to try this out, though, but damn it’s worth the 20 minutes spent to get this running.
You can even play this with the demo version of Quake 1, but you’ll only get the levels available in the demo.
blasphemy
Spoiler
i didn’t like Tennant compared to Eccleston and Smith, though Tennant had the best companion (Donna Noble).
