Val and I are enjoying ourselves quite a bit. The game plays pretty good. Combats got a bit of depth to it, I find the loot fun (especially the Possessed weapons) and the combat is hyper aggressive which is my favorite kind. Dodging constantly, these guys are out to kill me.
The biggest flaw is the POP style platforming. it’s not as smooth as it should be, it’s re4ally easy to make Death go in directions you don’t want him to go in. 99% the time this isn’t really an issue but there are some speed platforming parts that make it glaring, but few and very far between…like I have something close to 15 -20 hours into the game and run into these kinds of platforming sections twice.
And there is so much to do. So many temples and dungeons to explore usually with a cool or fun boss at the end.
I’d make a gameplay video if i had the the ability to do so but I don’t so fuck you.
It’s not going to dethrone Bayonetta or DMC or NGB or anything but i’d play this over a lot of recent action games that have come out in a heart beat.

I’ve driven in Southern California. It’s not so bad, but the roads in LA are laid out like someone’s D.S. five year old scribbled random lines on the map and they made someone pave them. Pound for pound, NYC is the worst coastal, big-city driving experience I’ve ever had. Manhattan simply is not meant to be driven in unless you’re a slow moving tour bus or an insane cab driver.
Maybe it’s the immediacy of the shock, like a frog getting dumped into a pot of hot water and jumping out, but crossing the border from Michigan into Ohio or Indiana is a recipe for the worst, most instantaneous driving frustration. They’re like animals down there.
