That’s the last thing I need. Between watching SC2 matches, reading about Go, practicing random shit on MvC3 and still looking for the Othello (reversi) world championship footage, one more thing might just make my head implode. Reminds though that I need to get over my fear of getting absolutely crushed and start playing Go.
True on the multipliers. I told my girlfriend she should try tournament scrabble but she is kind of on a losing streak against me since we bought the game: hasn’t won a single one and is losing a lot of the games by a lot. Although at this point we’re just playing for fun, I wanna see how many points I can get with one word and she just wants to put cool stuff down. I got to put down video, open one game with purposes and make 87 points with the word crazy; she’s gotten down Druid, any word that ends with GHT and I think right now she’s shooting for putting blowjob somewhere on the board.
Scrabble and the bastardized, Words With Friends are great. I retired undefeated in the latter, something like 28-0. Wife can beat me in Scrabble, but not WWF.
The one game I know I completely dominated in was The Word Game using M:TG cards. The way it works is that you mention a card, then the person next to you has to mention another card using the last letter of the previously mentioned card, cards cannot be repeated. We would play on the ride up to Albuquerque for tournaments; you can do it with movie titles too but I didn’t know as many movie titles as I did cards. My friends had to do the sickest screw job ever to try and get me to lose and it still didn’t work. Geeky, yes, was I godlike at it? Absolutely.
the only one i could think of in class was “newt”…but then i had to explain to 2nd grade koreans kids what a newt is, even though i was kinda hazy on what they are myself.
Newts are amphibians. My friend had newts as pets because his aunt he lived with wouldn’t let him have a dog. Of course, she owns a dog now. What a bitch. The fish tank he kept him in had a fucked up filter so whenever you went to pick up the newts you would get shocked. I thought nothing of it then, but thinking about it now those newts must have lived in constant pain.
I wonder how newts are doing in the wild. Frogs are dying left and right.
