sheeeeeit, this is such a simple health-related thing, but I never even considered doing it until now…
I was checking some vids recently about people drinking nothing but water for a week or a month or longer, and they go over the various benefits they’ve experienced (basically; they feel like they have more energy, they lose a bit of weight, healthier skin, etc.)… the parents always were on my case about not drinking enough water when I was a kid, and of course I never paid much attention to it; sometimes I’d just lie and say I had a few glasses of water earlier when I really didn’t…because so many other drinks are just better…
I’m not a major fan of sodas in general so it’s easy to give that up; I mostly drink tea and fruit juices though. Well, I’ve decided to start this as of today then, to see the results for myself. I just bought 4 gallons of water with some other groceries; already down to the halfway point on the first gallon.
*and holy shit I saw this loaf of italian bread in the bakery section for just a dollar and some change (?!)…garlic, onion, poppy seeds and sesame seeds…it’s gorgeous…too damn good to pass up. This legendary loaf of bread here… it probably won’t survive the next 2 days.

I didn’t read the whole conversation, but I don’t think it matters which community college you go to as long as you can transfer to the university you want to. I would only take the basics like PoliSci and English comp and etc… I would also take courses that are considered weed out classes. At my university, I wished I had taken Physics I and II as well as Thermo I and Dynamics. At my university, 60 hours of credit transfers is the max. My friend was able to attend a university part time, at the same time, go to a community college to take care of some History credits and what not.
I really don’t see much difference between mech and aero engr at the undergraduate level. As far as which university to go to, I would try to find out which one will get in you in the good old boy network. I think it’s called “Key school list”. High GPA is a must. I hate to say it but you’re just a number. I don’t know if internship exp makes a difference unless you intern at the one comp you want to work in. It doesn’t make a difference in that, it doesn’t give you an edge over the rest of the pile of resumes out there. Likewise, I don’t know what you would put down if you didn’t have intership exp. I know undergrad research exp makes you look smart.

I genuinely know almost nothing about anime. I’ve seen some of the mainstream stuff like Cowboy Bebop and Evangelion, but I really don’t know anything more than that.

UW is Boeing’s farm school, and all the state community colleges feed in to UW. The AS engineering transfer degree they offer state wide is 80% math, go in there with your math prepped and you will bypass nearly all of it. The tuition is high but WA state subsidizes heavily, I used to get 8K a quarter 4kloans/4kgrants. Seattle’s a bad choice from an economic standpoint, there is Community colleges in every town in the state. I’d go to Federal way or even Tacoma and you wont be more than 30 miles from the city, any town on the I-5 corridor has express trains/buss’s in to the city every 15 minutes.
Way easier to park & ride in to the city, buss’s/trains get a bypass lane and the traffic is killer.
Keep in mind, Washington does a lot of foreign exchange with Japan and they get priority placement and they are all taking engineering or the STEM math you will need, so do it independently or you will be on wait lists a long time, and during that long time your going to be taking a lot of art electives to maintain enrollment to keep your loans current racking up debt.

The weather app on my phone says there is a 40 percent chance of rain today. I don’t really mind the rain but I have to sit right by the sliding glass door when I smoke. There is nothing covering the back patio. Its like…semi-covered. Its got 1 1/2" boards running parallel to the house, each spread about an inch or two apart. It creates minor shade and really doesn’t protect from the elements. Someone put a big board over the ramp (there use to be wheelchair riding dudes here) that leads to the back yard. Gotta sit under that so I don’t get rained on. If I had it my way I would cover the…back yard.
