Yeah, that was great. The 90s Grant Morrison run on the comics was also awesome, but it also had a ton of stupid shit. Like Aquaman being able to telepathically induce strokes in humans because we’re technically descended from ocean creatures (which technically should give him power over pretty much every living thing on Earth, including plants), or Flash being able to punch with infinite mass because he could move at relativistic speeds. Apparently the creative team didn’t know what relativistic speeds or infinite mass meant, because the dude he was punching didn’t die, when in reality infinite mass would pretty much mean the entire universe would explode. Also, Flash moving that fast would probably cause all kinds of physics shenanigans and possibly mean he would exist at every point in space and time simultaneously. But Speed Force, so I digress. Also, the Kingdom Come Flash could exist everywhere in his city at once while being pretty much invisible, which was a cool idea.
Then again, we had tons of stupid shit that looped around to being awesome. Like making a dude who plays brain recordings of the greatest fighters in the world accidentally download the motor skills of Stephen Hawking and essentially kicking the ass of a paraplegic man. Or the White Martians going “yeah, we fucked up the entire Justice League except that one guy who has no powers” only for their leader to flip his shit because he realizes they’ve let the motherfucking Batman infiltrate their base with no idea of where he is or what he’s up to.
Call me a chump, but I just might spend $250 on alpha access to Pantheon: Rise of The Fallen. If it ends up sucking, I will hang myself with my mouse cord.
Not gunna lie, but that $1k tester access is tempting too. I really want to know the possibility of that turning into a paid position, ah-la Furor.
