Guys, as the only person on this forum who likes fighting games, I can tell you that Glorious Gear is full of zoners who can get into the zone of being in the zone of up close and personal. It’s why it’s the 3rd best fighting game behind the two with Karin. I mean Jam is close but she’s no Karin.

Well the conversation really seems to be about projectile zoning while ignoring the zoning game used by normals.
And i mean if so then no duh, peojectiles been getting softer ever since anything after SFII. Like this is a 25, 30 year old trend.
ST was the only SF game in which projectile zoning was extremely strong and dominate. However zoning in general still remained fairly strong in the alpha games and SF3 series. Even to some extent zoning with normals was somewhat effective in SF4. However in SFV it feels like zoning in any capacity regardless if it’s with projectiles or normals feels non-existent and that’s probably due to the stubby range normals now have.

I believe Cyborg’s was originally a block infinite, which they patched out, but NRS still has an inexplicable hard-on for instant-air projectiles. Because MK9 Kabal was such a crowning achievement in balance I guess.
