We pretty much DO that. People throw their parents away to old folks homes and hospice care all the time because it’s too difficult to care for an old person 24/7, which is exactly what many of them require.

Someone in comments mentioned right away they wish it would be on something like HBO or Netflix… I love the CW vamp stuff but I would agree with that… simply because I think a show has potential to be better if the writers/producers aren’t having to worry about what they can’t show. I think it’s always better for creatives to have the freedom to do whatever they want in terms of story and characters…y’know, none of the censorship of regular network television getting in the way.
I think the original film was only …quick internet research—nah actually it was an “R”…?! That’s surprising; I don’t remember anything in it that truly warranted an “R” rating. I guess it was due to a few violent scenes, like seeing vamps getting staked or melted with holy water, etc…

:rock: Yep, I actually do listen to the various songs from that movie’s soundtrack on literally a daily basis…ever since that movie was new. There is even a playlist I set up on my ipod marked “Vampire”, which includes that stuff + some songs from Vampire Diaries, The Originals (excellent soundtrack on that show; I highly recommend it), even a few things from Skyrim, etc. Oh yeah my fascination with this particular creature of the night legend/folklore runs deep.

Who agrees that UFC is just as staged as WWE? Now that I’m thinking about I’d venture to say that every major sport in the US (save for MLB, and probably NHL) are all fixed. That includes NFL (so obviously a better version of WWE), NBA, etc, all obviously staged. That’s why I’ve come to respect stuff like the Premier League and the MLB, the sport is still pure in those leagues. Anyway, back to the original subject: UFC is definitely pre determined, so don’t be surprised if Mc Gregor wins tonight to set up a really hyped up 3rd fight

Thats not what I’ve heard. To be honest the culture and mentality in Japan has been and still is work insane hours, and only the few people actually have time(or personality for that matter) to really go wild at night. My girlfriend said that her schedule was working 6 days a week for 12 hours per day. She would have to work for 10 hours then her last 2 hours were spent as her due dilligence to train less experienced people.
UFC is not staged. If things go to judges it might be heavily skewed based on some pretty bad favoritism but its definitely its not staged and comparing it to WWE is a joke. People get their skulls fractured…

I’m not implying that baseball is inherently dirty, I just believe that every professional sport is susceptible to human error. Sure, those errors have been reduced significantly in the last few years due to many sports adopting the instant replay factor, but as long as the shots are called by human beings, you’re bound to get non-intentional fucks ups here and there. Some fans just get too passionate about it and start calling foul play at whatever call “screws” their team.
