Why does Donnie have red eyes and a gap in his teeth as well as a high pitched voice? Couldn’t they just have made his bandanna more dark purple to differentiate between him and Leo?

The last one was back in 2003. They also had that crossover movie (which, by the way, is great). This new series doesn’t seem to follow the source material in any way at all.
Got II and III on VHS, but not I.

That and when he crys in front of Splinter for realizing the world sees them as freaks after his fight with Casey Jones

Seriousness was sorely lacking in the 2nd except the the final Shredder scene and the scene on the rooftop when they are told by Splinter about the Ooze and how their lives are basically random without any real meaning, and that they must create the meaning themselves.
The only turtles I feel have any really good development are Donnie and Raph, Leo is just the typical straight forward leader and Mikey is the comic relief.
Not saying either are bad, I just like Raph and Donnie more I guess, they add alot of things to the group.
Keep in mind I have no idea what the comic canon is, although they are all obviously much more badass in the comics, I’m just referring to general TV/movie canon
Edit: Leo did have some decent character development in the lastest TMNT movie, because he comes off as a dick from being too headstrong and trying a little too hard to get the group together for his own purposes, even if they are for good.
I will also admit that Mikey is a good foil for Donnie’s tendency to be the smartest of the group. They are diametrically opposed in the same way Raph and Leo are.
Thoughts?
Eastman’s commentary in the Ultimate collection of the Mirage books talked about how he and Laird based those two turtles on themselves. Eastman wanted to be the badass rouge and Laird was a Techie so they kind of modeled Raph and Donnie after themselves, and the other two were stereotypes. I’m sure some one can prove me wrong but thats the way I read it.
Sounds interesting, pretty funny too considering the other two are just kinda put in there.
By the way guys, I quoted someone in a different thread that used an @ symbol and they got “mentioned” twice, so yeah, just keep that in mind when quoting people.

Coincidentally, the only VHS tapes I have still are TMNT 1 and Godzilla vs. Megalon, as they’re two childhood movies that I never want to get rid of.
i like that people were getting killed, but AZ got chipotle diarrheaed on before he got killed. 
The only VHS I still own is my copy of UHF that’s been played so many times, the audio track is hard to hear at some points of the movie.
