Second, I’m not a religious person. But I think it makes no sense to believe pretty much the whole bible because you were raised on it, then completely disregard a small part of it because that part inconveniences you. Either believe the whole thing or disbelieve all of it.

Banks take a cut in exchanging money. It’s not like an actual fixed amount, thus no “fees” - but did you check the exchange rate the bank offers you before you bought it? Did you notice why it wasn’t as good as the actual market/trading price?
