Contemplating on whether i should take the Amazon job if offered. I saw the job description and was insulted with how much they offered for compensation. It’s about 6 bucks less than what I’m making at my current gig.
Downside: less pay (i need dat money so i can pay for my wedding next year), needs flexibility in schedule (nights/weekends/holidays), 10-12 hour shifts
Upside: stock options, prime location in Seattle to work at (new giant Amazon campus is TIGHT), it’s FREAKIN AMAZON.
Lot to mull over. Guess i should worry about it if/when I get offered the gig.
The fact that he misspelled the best character in fighters offends me on a level I didn’t think I could get to, and it’s his permanent forum name no less.
Sheeeeit, if I actually maintained the Magnificent 5™ back then in the mid to late 80s, Mia Sara’s fine ass would definitely have been on there, as perhaps the #2 behind Alyssa Milano. In those pre-Halle days, Milano was my #1 for sure.
Actually that might be a bit fun… old era 1980s (pre-Halle, pre-Beyonce) Magnificent 5™ back in the day… this is what comes to mind right away:
Alyssa Milano, Mia Sara, Lisa Bonet(Denise Huxtable), Janet Jackson, Phylicia Rashad(legendary TV MILF Claire Huxtable)…ah, it’s always tough to organize such a list, considering how many hot ass celebs exist. Vanessa Williams, Kathy Ireland and Markie Post…and the pop singer Tiffany (“I Think We’re Alone Now”) are also coming to mind right away. The only certainty with regard to rank is that Alyssa was absolutely the clear #1 for me at the time… I had dreams about that girl…yes yes…
This is my first full day post-op, and was able to make it to the computer. Though it hurts just sitting here, my surgeon wants me walking around the next day. ¬_¬ To those that were wondering, I’m doing ok. I’m glad my anesthesiologist faked me out: “Ok, this is just oxygen. Take a few nice deep breaths…” I took two, and I was out like a light. No drifting off to sleep, no droopy eyes…nothing. Next thing I know, I’m waking back up in Flex Care (prep room), in pain and still drugged up to where my eyes were drifting uncontrollably
When I was immediately out of surgery, internal pressure was a complete bitch, to the point I couldn’t get up or sit down without someone pulling me or countering my weight when I was flopping to the couch. I killed the couch in the living room all day. My wife became a slave, to the point she slept on the love seat just to be sure she was near me. Oxycodone is my new best friend. As of right now, I’m to the point to where I can get up on my own, but still hurts a bit to walk around, and I’m not up for too long. I’m just gonna chill on the couch and play some PS360 for a majority of the day, again.
Pretty much. But the grilled cheese was less healthy looking, like the actual thing was more smooshed, oily, and toasted.
Ah, actually found someone’s picture of one of these things. Burger’s Priest for anyone in Toronto that’s interested in reducing their life span by 3-4 years.
There is also that middle vegetarian patty thing which is like made of mushrooms or something. I didn’t try it because it was vegetarian, but I didn’t realize you could order it along with beef.
HELLOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
I believe the CNE is also where deep fried butter debuted in Toronto as well. Only fitting.
Speaking of Ferris Bueller…did you know Alan Ruck (Cameron) was 29 when they filmed that movie? 29 playing a 17 year old and I didn’t notice at all. In contrast, Broderick was 24 and Mia Sara was only 18.
Congrats. You made it back in one piece, although some parts did not return with you. I say kill that couch for another day. Oxycodone: Nature’s roller coaster. PLEASE DON’T DRINK ANY ALCOHOL WITH IT!!! You don’t wanna know. Just don’t blame me if you end up challenging your own car to Mortal Kombat.
Welcome back, 'Worm. Oxy is the shit until you have to take one. When I fell off a roof, they had me on that and vicodin. I enjoyed it. Being out of work for 9 weeks wasn’t quite worth it.
