Meh. Dancing. I suppose I can agree that it’s underrated as a social skill, but that’s not really saying much. I’m also only really counting “proper” dance that most people would think is archaic or anachronism rather than the distasteful public dry-humping and equally silly flailing that seems to count as “modern dance”. I think is why I could never really stand most dancing to begin with, though it’s not like I’m prudish enough that I automatically think because something is formal or “proper” that’s worthwhile or entertaining.
All I know is modern dance sucks in most instances, video I posted being one of the rare exceptions.
As for people thinking salsa is Mexican (including myself admittedly), it’s probably because people are so used to grouping things together in mass-labels that are inaccurate as it is, especially when it happens multiple times in the same grouping. I’m pretty sure that most Americans tend to think anything Hispanic or “Latin” is Mexican, so…yeah, I’d imagine that applies to dances too.
I can agree with this more readily, though at the same time I have the suspicion that it would ultimately just make drunken or hateful assholes even more dangerous to others.
It’s really sad that Twilight is “grown-up” viewing material for women. Switching that shit with High School Musical or even Barbie would make them look a lot better.
