I was reading Superman Adventures the other day, which is just a couple of small books for kids. Man, there are some good stories in there, like simple, silly ones but honestly better than anything that’s come out on the actual monthlies in like the last decade.
I looked at the author and had a spit take - Mark Millar! Must have been before his insane descent into asshole comics fuckery and back when I guess he still knew how to write awesome comics.
Between that and Red Son, I think he’s actually got a really good handle on how to write Superman. Blew my mind.
