Oh god. Courage returns there is a god.
ABOOGABOOGA! I guess maybe spring might see me finding courage again. In other TV news, Congratulations are due to the Aquabats!! they have out-gayed even the Wiggles. Your children’s armegeddon is right on time folks.

seriously? i understand why most shows have come back but…who was begging for this to come back? where was the family guy esque campaign on this.
I’ve been rewatching Ren & Stimpy. Some shakiness in the early episodes aside, this show holds up so well, both in comedy and animation.
In fact, this might be heresy, but it might be the best show of its generation, from a standpoint of pure drawing.
If you want to jump into the series, I suggest you start with VF2, then go to VF4 (no evo allowed), then you make your way to VF3 the greatest game in the series. Don’t play VF5FS its bad.
Hope that Fred gets to show up again in the new Courage season.
Funny you say that, considering how many people thought that the show lost it’s luster when Kricfalusi left the team.
I still was entertained, either way.
Thanks. I will take this advice and seek to find these games in this order. I don’t know why I never got into them in the states and by the time I got to Japan, nobody was playing it. all the same, My old ass isn’t gonna jump into it anytime soon.

Kricfalusi was absolutely the main driving force behind the show’s quality. I only mean the very earliest episodes, wherein I assume that the team was still getting accustomed to the show. By the time the first season is in full swing, it’s terrific.
Looking back at the Courage episodes…this scene freaked me out.
Still freaks me out actually…

This shit gave me nightmares

The hamster dude and the Duck from the first short freaked me out, I never enjoyed the show much but I did like the creepy vibe it could give off.
Until I see the ad on TV probably an elaborate troll.
I watched the first couple or so arcs in the series, the 2 OVAs with the exception of Samurai X movie(then again, I might have seen it as well) when I was in highschool and overall felt like the anime was solid back then. That trailer looks very promising. Didn’t the series get up to like 90 episodes? I remember at one point, I gave up spending my hard earned burger flipping money on the dvds since they were fucking expensive.
Courage was quite disturbing for the first season…then it seemed to water down the creepyness toward the end if its run.
I agree…the Fred episode was fucked up.

I agree with this guy’s list…but I would put Ramses’ curse on top.
Ok, I got Debian installed, but GRUB isn’t showing Windows 7. It shows the two partitions listed as Windows Recovery, but 7 itself is not listed.
Currently looking for a solution, but if anyone here has an idea throw it at me.
As long as we’re talking about cartoon moments that fucked with our heads, the first time I watched the rugrats episode where Angelica thought she was getting a new sibling and had a nightmare about it creeped me out.
The way the baby looked coupled with it’s voice and the settings her dream created did not sit well with me at all.
Dammit Geese pants I had put that Ramses curse shit out of my head YEARS ago!
FUCK X_X
I’m NOT watching that vid at 12am when my room is pitch black save for the light my monitor makes…
Speaking of Kricfalusi, here’s a quote from him that hits upon something that really bugs me in animated comedy today:
Also from him, a bit of writing advice:
Was this during VF5 or VF3? I know the Japanese didn’t like VF3 and liked it even less when the Koreans (some would argue the Taiwanese) developed the meta-game for it and beasted Japan in it.
VF5 had a tough act to follow after VF4 revolutionzed fighting games in arcades and console. I have my beefs with VF5 but it was still VF for me, kinda like how SF die-hards might not go gaga over SFIV but still play it becasue SF is their game.
I don’t see why people say KOF XIII is honest. It’s dirty and cheap, but the good kind of dirty and cheap(ala old-school 2d fighters)!
I would say VF is honest as it comes since there are not supers, chip or comeback/damage increase. Shun-Di has his drinks but that’s it and you can use moves that take away his drinks. It’s straight up fighting in VG form which is why I love it. It’s funny to see people get pissed when one of the OG ST players up here in WA says he likes it more than SF and has more fun playing it. People get boiled
Before I knew about how the tourney scene worked I always wondered why people didn’t get into it and it was the simple fact that Sega never made it readily avaiable outside of Asia, and later Japan. Thankfully whichever the current version of FS is out in the arcades by the time console version hits, it’ll be up to date.
Pumped for this game since it stresses fundamentals like a motherfucker!
Plus it’s going to have a EVO style training mode which can be found here. SWBeta has one of it as well on his Youtube, but this one had better picture quality.

They mean it doesn’t have comeback mechanics or crutch features that are supposed to make the game more accessible to new players but actually just keep them from understanding how to play the game for real. Also, it’s good.
