Alternate universes don’t count you know this, or else I’d say Ultimate Tony Stark who has a brain tumor that makes him super intelligent even when wasted 24/7.

He even admitted it himself, in X-Men vs The Fantastic Four, when Richards completed the procedure to save Kitty Pryde from the damage she received from the Marauders, during The Fall of The Mutants.
A procedure that had like, thousands of facets to it, compounded by mathematical computations, or some such.

Fictional super-genius characters---- sheeeit, I’d love to see Dr. Robotnik vs. Dr. Wily…though Wily’s robot creations are much more self-reliant and aware, like so many little cartoony Terminator characters. Yeah…maybe that wouldn’t be such a good match-up after all… Robotnik/Eggman’s bots are typically just mindless drones that make half-ass attempts at hitting Sonic every now and then, despite him being 1000000x faster than them. Give Robotnik access to the chaos emerald powers though and it’s over for everyone…that’s assuming we aren’t talking about the pitiful goofball from the cartoons though. I always thought it was a shame that Robotnik was repeatedly portrayed in such a manner… I prefer super-genius villains to be actual, dangerous threats…not some fat-ass clown-character buffoon designed to make little kids laugh at them every 4 seconds. It was terrible how the Sonic cartoons repeatedly failed to live up to any reasonable expectations of quality, at least in my opinion.
…but at least the Sonic shows weren’t Viewtiful Joe-level disappointment… man, talk about a failure of a show… Jesus H. Christ… it’s like they had a mole somewhere on the team that produced that show, making sure to help drive it and the rest of the franchise right into the toilet. I’m still bitter about that shit, man… years from now it will still cross my mind on occasion.
pretty much. for reasons that GM posted as well, if you go into IM1 just looking for sci fi, you’ll get your money’s worth…Well, depending on where you buy your tickets. I’m cool with spidey too. You know how us Comics fanboys are. Never enough, never satisfied.

One might say that it’s what makes Spider-Man special and interesting.
It gets kind of trite to see a 30-ish year old Pete grappling with adolescent self-centered guilt.
All about perspective and time, things are forgotten a lot or retconned in comics, to where what we remember is not necessarily still active in the comic world. Doom is usually said to be above Richards, but due to his ambition/obsession and frankly, how narrow minded he is with his creations it’s not brought up much. Doom works in destroying or manipulating, whereas Reed’s shit is more about the betterment of humanity.
Like I said, Doom created a time machine and also a portal to Hell to communicate with Mephisto and his dead mother, Reed has no idea how to make one and in one comic arc even had to borrow Doom’s. Then again Reed does shit Doom doesn’t, I’d feel good about putting them even to each other really.
Right now I think the smartest person would be Reed’s daughter, prominently shown in the FF title. She brings Doom in for the think tank and outclasses both Reed and Doom, and is in a power struggle kind of situation between the two. Reed’s dad is scared as shit of her ability, and I think she is eight? Lol.

But this Spidey is just too young for me. Maybe if I was a kid, it wouldn’t bother me so much but I just don’t like it. The guy is in middle school for crying out loud…
