SRK Lounge: I heard rumors that RockB was Scatman John

Doesn’t matter at all. I was just curious.

Oh.

Did you mean Windows PCs?

I dunno - but the wonderful thing about non-Apple computers is you can mix and match parts to taste, so it’d be pretty easy to avoid using parts made there, I’d think.

I say PC as a generic term for any computer. A Mac is a personal computer after all, thus a PC. Also, dude, check the sig, I know about computers.

“I am already dead.”

I really wanna make the balltop on my sticks glow like the playstation move.

Arthropods are so underappreciated as drawing subjects.

I wouldn’t even try to go after 7 guys if I did have a gun. That’s a 1/7 chance that there’s another gun in there somewhere, probably higher considering the subjects. And all it takes is 1 gun to throw the odds back out of my favor. Also, that doesn’t include the possibility of being disarmed which is quite likely considering that you’d have 6 guys trying to take it away from you. THE GUN WOULD BECOME YOUR MOST PRIZED POSSESSION TO STEAL!

If someone’s robbing you and they have no weapons and only want your stuff, give it to them. Unless you’re Chuck Norris or something. Or have a gun and really know how to use it. Which would kinda be like being Chuck Norris.

Oh, and I forgot to add the possibility that it may be a 6-shooter.

If I had a pistol I would still feel disadvantaged…maybe if I had an Assault Rifle or Shotgun I’d fare better.

I just finished Asura’s Wrath.

My rating of the game =

This has been THE INVINCIBLE SWORDSMAN saying:

QTE all damn day. And the normal fighting was wack with crappy camera continuity and no blocking. Reversals? Kinda. The game got too tedius. You’re just fighting to get to the next QTE. The story? Man… even by my standards it blew. I just wanted to know if a) was Asura was a cyborg or something? and b) Why and what makes his arms regenerate?

Your answer to B is: His wrath.
Yeah, all you do is use the crap combat system to build up a bar that triggers a cutscene. Not pressing anything does not stop the action. You’ll just get a lower score.shrug

It’s just an “epic to watch” FMV. I cannot believe after all these years a modern FMV is being praised. It’s the same shit as the Power Rangers FMV. And the DLC is anime with QTEs which probably have no impact. And the best DLC? Has the next couple chapters that happen after the end of the game. Winner.

I still think that game was marketed wrong. It should have been marketed as an interactive anime in the same vain as visual novels are picture books that you interact with. Under that banner it would have been perceived differently and I think been a more welcome experiment. As Furry Curry said in the AW topic under that kind of marketing they could have sold it on an episode basis, structured like the season of a show.

I just think Capcom didn’t have the right idea on how to market the thing. It’s really not a game, it’s a show you participate in and in that vain it’s kind of unique and interesting.

Yes, but due to the movie Iron Man went from persistent second tier to flagship, book selling character. Look at all the Iron Man merch, comics, and the like that is out since his first movie. It’s ridiculous really, and he’s actually had some pretty good stories over the years…I still consider him a villain for Civil War though, just not seething rage now.

Oh and check out Justice League Doom if you haven’t Goody, pretty fun ride and you can tell it’s a Dwayne Mcduffie thing (AKA, there are black people in it, and the story is coherent and paced well).

I honestly do not understand the whole “is he a super hero or not” thing.

He’s flying around in a space age tech suit powered by a nigh endless energy core, shooting repulsor blasts at bad guys e’rrywhere.

Seems super hero-ish enough.

That, and he created all of the tech himself.

There is something to be said for having an S tier super genius I.Q. when considering a hero’s “powers”

I mean, dude is Reed Richards level smart.

And that’s pretty much the upper limit, barring overt mutant properties.

Isn’t that a good chunk of action/adventure games these days?

Yeah, dubstep has been picking up steam super quick as of late. While I don’t really care for the genre, some songs are really good:

I like the fifty million different techno remixes of it they have:

Reptile by Skrillex isn’t new or something that picks up steam, Dubstep was cool for like two weeks then we all remembered what music sounded like, and now only a select group who’d fallen behind the trends enjoy it (MMA fans, certain groups of white people, every single person marketing a film/show/book, etc.)

Love it or hate it, dubstep is still a friggin’ blast to play Beat Hazard to.

I hate Dub Step. Most of the new SSX OST is dubstep and it fucking sucks. I need to figure out how to put music on my Xbox from my external quick cuz that shit is starting to piss me off. It’s fucking awful.

Dubstep is the worst.

I was stating the genre in general. You can’t deny the popularity it’s gained in such short time. I don’t know where you’re located, but where I am, dubstep gets play everywhere by all groups.

Tekken Tag 2 also has some good dubstep in it.
