heh, they had the same issue as me. Like a thousand people TOTAL are playing it. Across both consoles. It takes FOREVER to fight anybody, and some of the cards have too similar abilities to other cards, and the shit cards are 100% pointless in any way shape or form.
And I wish I got Catan for Christmas. I have it on 360 and iPhone, but need a real version of the game

Only problem I have with it is that instead of putting forth a good primer on KoFXIII or SCV, discussion on a myriad of topics in the community could probably be addressed, we get a review on some game type that was made for casual players to have fun.
As for Cataan, my best friend has been giving me boardgames for the past 3-4 years. Started with Puerto Rico, then he got me Cataan and now the U.S. map Cataan. Got him the TMNT hardcover tpb vol 1; fun times seeing somebody go “holy shit.”
Yea having just bought KOFXIII and it being my first KOF, A primer would be really nice…Or shit at least link the videos by DandyJ if they’re too lazy to do some real work.
What’s really funny is that when I played M:TG and a new deck broke out at a tournament, it was almost guaranteed that you were going to get a primer on that motherfucker within the week; and a well written one at that too. But here people see new teams and stuff like that and you get nothing. I know Wiz already said that the days of catering to the hardcore are over but man, at this point they are trying to cater to Eventhubs front page posters.

Well in M:TG primers covered the deck, how to play it, notable cards and plays that happened with them, basic match ups and how to play them and gimmicks with the deck. Closest we’ve gotten to a proper primer was PR Rog talking about Balrog. Fuck me about looking for it though; its buried under mountains of crap.

man, my sister did fuck all last night. She wakes up and is full of energy. same when opening gifts. Time to clean up? Oh thats her nap time. Then when we cook, she goes and just hangs out downstairs. Then when its time to do dishes and clean up after dinner, she tries to go lay down for a nap or some shit, and my dad says ‘stop being lazy today and help your mother’. Well this sets her off the fucking deep end. She runs upstairs and cries and accuses my dad of being an asshole. Then when he goes to talk to her, she accuses him of calling her a fat lazy bitch (didnt happen), and starts to tell him to fuck off. So my entire family tell her he never said that. So she goes on fucking facebook and starts posting about it all over her front page, getting all her friends sympathy, and embarrassing my dad for shit he never did. I came mighty close to backhanding her. MIGHTY close.

I kinda have to agree with angelpalm with regards to this, especially considering how much many of the old posters have kvetched about hand-holding around here.
As much as I dislike the front page, it actually has a search function that isn’t shit now. So…yeah.
In this instance, I’d argue that it’s more a problem of forum organization or, rather, threads in character sub-forums not being organized enough in their information than it has to do with the front page being crap.
