No, I’m not considering the situation these men are in, I’m considering the mother’s situation of being forced to be a single parent, the type of situation you brought up in the first place. That was the crux of your argument, right? That the mother’s choice of having a kid with a guy, and the guy leaving, is the direct result of her choosing to have the kid? That’s what you meant by:
right? His choice to not be a father = her choice to be a single parent? If I misinterpreted this in any way by all means let me know.
And under what circumstance would the guy really be in in that example you gave? That he was tricked into fatherhood? How does that change the fact that he still makes the decision to just run away from it, and that results in a single parent? He could choose just the same to take it on, or convince her to get abortion / put up for adoption / stairs, and the result is different.
As to how often men consciously decide to have a kid and then dip, I don’t know how often it happens. But I’m also not going to apply the word “usually” to any of them. Married men have found new pieces of ass and bailed on their families for it. Copules that didn’t plan on a kid but get pregnant, but he decides to bail does not fit that “usual” situation you want to claim. Man’s situation doesn’t matter, it’s the result of what the other side now gets to go through that they had no say in.
Professors in my science, philosophy, and a myriad of other professions tried to coax me into their respective fields. My only real weakness is higher-level math; I’m a mostly right-brained individual, so those classes are very taxing on the ol’ noggin, hence why I’ve shied away from those fields…

I’m not denying that it does or could happen. I’m arguing that it doesn’t happen often, at least not as often as my given example. Not to mention that kids from single mother homes are often indoctrinated into hating their father, having no idea of the circumstances that came before their birth. I can’t even imagine what it would be like to have progeny born as a bargaining chip to shackle you to a woman. Even worse, children you wanted but were shut out of their lives by a spiteful ex-spouse. I could conjure thoughts of not wanting to see my kids because it reopens wounds.
Please give me an example where a woman is forced to bring a child to term. Women have autonomy on whether they go through with the pregnancy or not as well as who they choose to father a child with. Women who became single mothers mostly (usually) have become so due to factors completely within their control. You’re nitpicking on outlying reasons, which of course can and do exist, for singe motherhood. If you honestly believe that men with a spouse and children are simply dying more often than not to fill that now 30% national average of singe motherhood, I don’t know what to say. For the record, deception does happen within marriages. Men have been tricked into having a child within a marriage or more children than they wanted to.
