(Hmm…I wonder what I did with that stupid dead storage device…)
Oh, right. That’s what I wanted to say: I find it rather hilarious that the (local) news seemed to equate trouble on Black Friday with some kind of supposedly new desperation solely caused by the recession…as if it hasn’t always been a debased materialistic day that exposes the lack of any “civility” most of humanity actually has.
Har har. Fake news is fake.
RSG3 basically answered the OWS thing already, so I’ll just add this: You think it was turning you into a troll? And your Super Saiyan Nappa one wasn’t because…?
Should have known this would have given you the opportunity to post some shiny white guy or, at least, a needless moving .gif.
Speaking of which, how was Thor? I figure it was something that you probably watched and I’m just randomly curious while on this tangent.
P.S. No one will care because its thurst talking.
Oh, I full-well understand that he’s Her Majesty’s Secret Asshole–there’s sadly probably a porn movie or 12 with that name already–and all, I just would like for everyone else to understand that.
I have little problem with people who think James Bond is cool because of all the shit he blows up & breaks or because of “witty” (read: lame) puns he does while killing people or all the women he bangs (who invariably die from all the diseases they contract if not through something else) or all of the above. I can “get” that even if I don’t get it.
I just get rather annoyed with people who think he’s actually a (good) spy considering how utterly conspicuous and well-known he is.
Sure, he gets shit done. That doesn’t mean he’s good with finesse. At all.
It’s the same annoyance I have with the (Western) perception of ninja, even before the stupid people that allowed themselves to be utterly misinformed by Naruto and think Japanese mythology is stealing from that. But, hell, at least a lot of the ninja stuff is increasingly done with irony or for comedy or coolly and can be shown actually doing their damn job at remaining unseen/unknown. James Bond is taken completely seriously as a “good” spy (by audience viewers) for like the complete opposite of that. It’s just…kinda mind-boggling, even knowing how stupid people can be/are.
And before (and after) anyone says I’m just overthinking this, considering how much I intend to have deal with fiction accounts of something later on in life as well as general patterns, this is more just me ranting and being annoyed about observational “research” than me (solely) going out of my way to be mad about this. Not that I’m mad, just annoyed.
