See here’s the thing… I don’t give a fuck about how other people watch or what’s inferior to whatever the hell ever. To me, all shows are the same. They have a plot, there’s conflict, there’s an ending, blah, blah blah. My point is, cartoons are no better than daytime soaps and just like all these HBO shows that are supposed to be so awesome and got so much great acting and crap…
It’s all the same. Trying to differentiate one between another or make it sound like “Nigga, are you serious?” about one show over another is borderline stupid to me. To me, they’re all the same. It’s all about what you get out of it and what you prefer. I love Young Justice. I like General Hospital. I like watching WWE. I like watching the girls from Victorious walk around. I like watching movies on LMN with my wife. I like being entertained and I like getting turned on. Oh and I like kungfu.
Getting “serious” about a show… I try to only go to a certain before it gets annoying. Like trying to look into the future to see what’s going to happen months down the line and looking for plot holes and wondering “why this character was introduced to the show without an hour-long backstory and I don’t know if he/she would do that in this type of situation”… maaaaaaaaan screw all this shit. It’s a fucking show. You’ll be in the hospital tomorrow and not only will you not give a fuck, you’ll ask yourself “Why did I waste so much time thinking about that show?”.
Actually, I think the Satan storyline was a Days of our Lives storyline. Passions was about witches and vampires and shit. But I didn’t dig it.
Watched them both. And I still had time to watch GH back in the day.
Although… I fell asleep to Batman TAS more times then I did watching soaps.
See, more often than not most of these guys who overly analyze these shows start hanging on every word, syllable, facial expression, whatever that goes on in the show. Then, as soon as there’s some inconsistency or perceived slight and then the episode blows and all they wanna talk about is the perceived slight.
If someone’s gonna watch a show like that, then why bother if you’re gonna go all Siskel & Ebert on it? It’s just a show.
It’s a white people show. Not saying you like it or not. Or black or white for that matter. But when it was big I was in high school/college and white dudes used to talk about that shit all the time. Girls didn’t watch that shit. (I was watching Martin in that time slot. Never got me laid though)
