SRK Lounge: Can we please lay off the Maxxvatars?

hey man I got crack commercials crack text spam crack mailers crackertape parades the marketing shit adds up

no cracker jacks?

You’re still missin’ the whole concept “black market” thing. Kinda important facet about… well, everything supplied in that manner. As cheap as it may be illegal, it could only get cheaper legal. It doesn’t matter what “it” is. The “illegal” part increases the cost of something. I couldn’t tell you how much, but it will always do so, because the seller has to put up some sort of risk in regards to possibly getting his ass arrested for selling it. This is basic econ here.

I’m not familiar with any means for someone to make that shit on their own like meth, though, so if you know otherwise, bully for you. As the viewpoint I’m taking, it’s for those that only know of the means to buy, not to create. Like just about everything else, if you can make it yourself, yeah, it’ll always be cheaper than buying it off someone else.

Seriously, yo. I make a joke in a means to vent my anger over some asshole fucking me over, and you make this shit seem all serious and drag me into a dumbass debate that I don’t even agree with the side you’re lumping me with. Let me dream.:razzy:

I thought she was hot in the movie, but then I looked up pics of her and she doesn’t do herself up in that manner. Makes her look less attractive, IMO.

A lot of illegal stuff that the powers that be don’t want you doing is really, really easy to do. See hacking. Being an ethical hacker ain’t easy when people are out there making MILLIONS on illegal and shady shit that is quite trivial to pull off.

What’s more fucked up is how the drugs already exist inside your body, you just need the proper chemicals to activate the receptors and turn them on.

More music!!!

Love these guys, but I wish they’d put something new out!

I got peanuts bruv.

Eh…running a gang and a crack operation is pretty hard work. Read Gang Leader for A Day if you want to know a bit more about it. No idea why you’d get mad at people selling shit for more than the component parts since this is the reason why manufactured goods are more popular hand made ones. If you thought crack was cheap now, wait until we can make crack like we can make spam. Crack operations are hard work.

One of the issues with Cyntalan’s deal is that by legalizing crack you would arrive at a situation similar to that of alcohol users; people who consume alcohol casually. Venkatesh’s book mentioned above says that there are crack users who use it casually. Although considering crack is dirty cheap to make as is, I don’t think it will eliminate the neighborhood crack house so much as make it more accessible at the 7-11 much in the way Jab suggested with his sardonic tone.

What would come out of crack is regulation on it. Don’t know if people would get straight crack so much as substance that are a certain percentage crack per volume much in the same way you deal with alcohol.

Yeah, you keep clinging to that undefined, arbitrary “cost of risk” argument and defining it as an absolute, and I’ll keep looking at you cockeyed, because that’s nonsense.

That doesn’t necessarily mean that he uses meth… just that he manufactures it.

Which probably means he uses it.

As this is a STREET FIGHTER website… you fail hord.

What was that you said earlier about illiteracy? Kindly point me to when I said I had a problem with selling products for more than the component parts? How did you miss the point of emphasis being that it was common, easy-to-acquire components and that the resulting product was destructive? And I wasn’t talking about running an organization. I’m talking about the guy who sells grams to the fiends in his apartment complex and acts like he is a supreme salesman. This is kind of like if a Walmart greeter was popping off some big shit and you chimed in with HEY RUNNING A MULTINATIONAL RETAIL OPERATION IS HARD WORK DUDE.

Thank you for admitting you have absolutely no grasp on basic economics.

In response to this, I just have to say yet again how much I love SFEX music.

EX+@ had a pretty good Chun Li theme. It managed to evoke the texture of her original theme without rehashing it.

Actually, you’re right. EX in general has some kickass tunes. I think it was Garuda in that game had a great theme, too. It was called “Stronger” and I’m pretty sure it was his.

Best SF music ever. Strange Sunset is amazing.

EDIT: It’s amazing how much musicians appreciate the EX series soundtrack.

O_O

Sagat always gets the sickest themes.

DC’s new gay character is an alternative universe Alan Scott (lol I almost put Ray Allen.), the original Green Lantern.

Smells like Ultimate Spider-Man.

Akuma’s theme always struck me as coming out of left field. I’d consider it the first non-traditional SF theme, and its strangeness tends to be compounded with each remix.

Looks at DC thread

Looks like I’m late to the party.

Should probably start checking CVine and CBR more again.

Alan Scott and The Flash probably have my favorite costumes in all of the DC universe.

Perhaps I should re-evaluate my orientation.
