cheh,
the people I see in the system at work each day… the majority of them really make you want to break things into thousands of pieces sometimes… and as stated many times before, they are morally bankrupt…then again, that applies to most of the human race anyway. It’s especially true of a certain city though, I’ve noticed… every time I see that damn city name pop up, I’m already thinking “ok, I know there’s a fraud situation going on here…let’s check it out…”, and I’m right at least 90% of the time. They’re also usually stupid and get themselves caught most of the time.
The ridiculous amount of money that was overpaid… it’s kind of depressing when one realizes that it’s most likely a very small portion of the reality. That number on the page was just those that were caught.
Honor? Shame? (*I’d bet all the money in the world that the ones doing that shit just laugh all the way to the bank, and basically have the “let’s see how long I can get away with this shit” thought process.) Haha, there is no such thing. It’s funny to me that we collectively like to pretend we’re better and more highly evolved than what reality says.
…and yeah yeah “let he who is without sin cast the first stone” yadda yadda… I’m not the one repeatedly stealing thousands upon thousands upon thousands of dollars (people would be surprised at how much it adds up, especially considering this sissy ass society decided to let people get paid for supposedly not working for such a ridiculous amount of time), with no real threat of going to jail or even getting arrested for it. I’d say the “questionable” things I’ve done in life aren’t quite on that level.
