I’m at Red Lobster today, working another bullshit ‘Church shift’ (there’s a church across the street so Sundays are especially busy). I come out of the kitchen to grab some water. A little black kid is hauling ass through the restaurant and ‘accidentally’ stomps on my foot. I say ‘Hey little man watch out’. That is what I said. I didn’t tell him to Fuck Off, didn’t jam my fingers in his eye sockets, I told him to watch out. His fucking heifer of a mother has her eyes bugging out of her goddam head and tells me to take my ‘ghetto ass back to Africa’ and that I should be ashamed of myself. I could literally do nothing but laugh in her face. This fat ass Welfare Cow with her weave slightly crooked off her head and fake eyelashes longer than my fingers not only called ME ghetto, but told me to go back to Africa. That was the part that got me. People at first glance usually think I’m Cuban.
I’m just lucky she didn’t ask to see the manager. His pussy ass would have sided with her 100%
Boardwalk Empire - I can’t rate it since unlike the others it isn’t done yet, but this show is great so far.
- The Sopranos - Ugh, the ending. WTF were they thinking. The creator of the series only wrote and directed two episodes: the pilot and the series finale. He fucked up imo; someone else (Matthew Weiner) should have handled the final ep. Sopranos was like a comedy almost, and I really enjoyed watching it. I could deal with the dream sequences and the random idiotic shit they’d do, but the ending was extremely unsatisfying. It had some really hilarious scenes though. This is easily my favorite:

Oz - It dragged at some parts, and had a lot of idiotic shit going on with Beecher and JK Simmons but that is how you end a show; better than Sopranos based on the ending alone. I watched Oz, Deadwood, The Wire, and Sopranos, in that order. “Wait, isn’t Tony’s wife a former Em City CO?” Edie Falco is a really good actress.

Deadwood - Probably my favorite HBO show overall. I only rank it below The Wire because of the abrupt, untimely cancellation. What they allowed to happen with it was a sin. Raged out Seth Bullock and motherfucking Al Swearengen. The guy who played Swearengen is seriously a god tier actor. If you haven’t seen Deadwood yet, drop whatever you’re doing and go watch it, now.

If people do stupid shit like jump in and say that [such and such popular/respected movie] is a piece of shit without giving any explanation for their opinion, then yeah, their asses are going to get torn up. But if they like or dislike something and take the time to explain why, nobody’s going to go HAM on them. The movie people are a gentle folk, who only attack when provoked.
There could be a different movie thread for the express purpose of sheltering fuckheads who want to shit on things people like and not have to explain themselves… but what would that do other than befoul the Internet even worse than it already is?
that’s fucked up…as store manager of my restaurant, I make sure that I listen to her story…then I ask you your side. If she is belligerent I just give her the owner’s number to contact him, and say that he ca help her more than I can. Either way, a good manager should be able to tell what the truth of the story behind the conflict is by knowing their employees and seeing how the customer talks. i feel like season 2 gets unfairly shit on. it was better than people give it credit for. i was like everyone else at first, thinking ‘wtf is with all these random stevedore assholes. i want to see more string, more mcnulty, more barksdale crew’
but going back after having watched the series as a whole, season 2 is pretty good. better than 5 anyway.
