Sheeeit, those “wounded warrior” commercials are so depressing… one of them reminded me of an unfortunately real “Terrible Choices” situation— let’s say a horrible accident happens, and you survive… but you will be confined to a bed for the rest of your life. You’re completely paralyzed, and need help in being fed as well as with shitting and pissing… of course the alternative would’ve been death. That’s an easy one to me… I’d rather have died in the accident. If it’s guaranteed that you’ll be unable to physically do anything other than “exist” for the rest of life, then fuck THAT. The only reason I could see to live on in such a condition would be based on the hope that science and medicine advance to a point in the near future where they could have you back to normal at some point…and really, you know that’s unlikely to happen.

My friend is really good at fighting games (and I thank him for taking me under his wing). He has a good eye for matchups, developing strats, and noticing player habits and how to improve and exploit on them.

Somewhere else, I brought up the front page of SRK stuff and the week of the “pro series” by ridiculously talented folk around here. John Choi, Watson, etc. A consensus was that “top players can’t write for shit” - buktooth, in response to that John choi pulls it back with – they may not be able to put what they do into words, don’t have time, won’t gain much from it now. Someone comments on these articles, outright tells John Choi, these guys aren’t relevant, they’re not winning SF4 every week after all the time he put into it. So it might have been a lost cause to educate front page only viewers on anything.
So, enjoy his quirks. Maybe he meant no jumping all the time, rather than 3D has sidesteps or whatever,
