I was on IGN, for shits and giggles, and saw that they had a new Top 25 PS3 games list.
There were MAYBE 5 on that list that I thought were games, much less decent ones.
Valkyria Chronicles and Ratchet & Clank being the only actually exceptional ones on the list.

metal gear online is the best online shooter ever. not counting the glitchers that were hell bent on killing the game. its a serious game and not for halo playing casual scrubvirgins.
no other game had that kind of variety and fun factor. there were more than one way to win. some people STRICTLY used shield+knife and some only used SMGs. mgo was one of the few games I played for hours without ever getting bored.
Ive said it many times before, there was a learning curve to “get” mgo. you couldnt just hop in and expect to win(just like street fighter in general)

It doesn’t matter the variety, “seriousness” or whatever. When you combine shitty hit detection, a shitty friendly fire system, a shitty damage system, and a shitty “pay as you go” weapons system*, you have a shitty game. I mean, they offered all their shit for free toward the end of the game’s life, and had I not traded in MGS4 a while back, I STILL wouldn’t have played that turd.
*I’m forgetting some things, but these are the majors.
But hey, don’t take things that personal. It’s just that my salt over that game being so bad is still there. I had high hopes for it, and it was such a letdown.

I looked that up too. Silent Hill 2 was ported to XBOX HUGE as the best definitive version. Some bonus content in there too.
Silent Hill 1 PC way back when was looking better than the HD remakes in comparison. But 2 didn’t go to PC at all.
