College for Creative Studies in Detroit accepted me despite a 42% acceptance rate.
Not sure if I can attend there this year though. I may have to attend a community college for 1-2 years and transfer the credits but I’ll need to wait and see what financial aid I’m getting. Hopefully it’ll be cheaper than the other college I thought about cause banks wouldn’t loan me the money to pay the overall cost.
Gonna try and squeeze some money out my dad so I can try to attend this year and get a new job in the process.
It’s not too late to apply to a community college. Should I attend community college first and transfer to CCS or just go straight to CCS? It doesn’t matter to me a lot since most of my tuition is being paid through scholarships and loans (yes, I know you have to pay loans back but not until graduation)

It depends. Just because you were excepted that invitation doesn’t last forever. As far as I know you can only defer for a year. If you don’t mind it’s probably a better idea to go to a community college for a year as long as the classes you’re taking are unrelated to your major, and don’t require a follow up course. This isn’t to say that these credits wont be accepted, but the information your CC professor teaches may not be in line with what will be expected of you when you get to your other school, and you may end up a bit lost. When you graduate the college that you graduated from is the name on your diploma, so that’s what’s important. The only thing that’ll be a hassle is that in the future when you have to send transcripts you may have to send them from both schools (I’m not 100% sure on this though), but this is worth the money you’ll save by going to a CC for a year.
