Batman tends to be functionally written as a demi-god.
It’s all down to the writing. A good writer will find something cool to do with these characters. A bad writer won’t. Power levels, by themselves, don’t make as much of a difference as it seems like they would.

Yeah, he becomes essentially all-knowing and all-powerful, especially if he has to keep up with the other, nominally more powerful characters.
My favorite Batman stuff tends to be when he’s winging it and hanging on by the skin of his fingernails. Less Bond, more MacGyver.
also i’d like add Juan Jose Ryp to list of artists. he draws some of the ugliest faces i’ve ever seen, but there’s so much awesome shit on the panel, you almost don’t even notice. Travis Charest’s style is ok even though all of his characters have lazy eyes.

nah, vol 3 was mostly Dustin Nguyen i think. his art is pretty pimp too. WildC.A.T.S. vol 3 had some of my favorite covers ever. they were right up there with Punisher MAX covers (not as life like but i liked them just as much)

I’m still amazed that some “gamers” out there thought Linux on PS3 was such a big damn deal. It takes a seriously deep level of only the most pathetic nerd qualities to honestly see that as a big selling point. Haha, DORK-ass niggas. They’re all a bunch of real life “Wormsers” or “Louis Skulnicks” from Revenge of the Nerds…(*actually, scratch that… Louis was somewhat alright and cool…these folks are Gilberts and Poindexters.) I check a certain other forum out there, and there’s people that are STILL bitter about the whole thing with that and OtherOS. Grand total of people that saw that particular feature of PS3 as such a big deal couldn’t have been more than a couple of hundred out of the entire world…and that’s probably a generous estimation.
*Another horribly stressful week of work begins in just a few hours. People really wouldn’t believe just how tiresome this damn job is. Spend a week or 2 doing my job, and in no time you’ll want to punch random people in the face, or toss the computer right out the window. It’s stressful and incredibly draining every goddamn second of the day. It is now a regular occurrence that I go to sleep immediately when getting home… like I don’t even get to see 7 pm anymore…and it happens so fast it’s like the “missing time” situation when you’re abducted by the aliens… after I sit on the couch and turn the tv or computer on at around 6, suddenly it’s 4 am and I’m waking up.

My favorite recent-ish comic art is Mazzuchelli’s stuff in Asterios Polyp. It’s some of the most audacious stuff I’ve ever seen in comics, but he still takes the time to make every character unique and give them little human gestures.
