I think you’re talking about Jennifer Delgado. She’s usually on CNN’s international program, World One. The anchor of the show, Monita Rajpal isn’t bad either.
Speaking of the Final Countdown being on Saturday, did anyone see a red moon last night? My friend’s nephew mentioned it last night and was curious if anyone else might of heard about it since that is one of the signs for Judgment Day.
(Oh, Set. The floor in that room…it was likely to become an eldritch abomination of dirt.)
Thanks, but no thanks, Syke1. The one time I played Mafia wasn’t all that entertaining for me. I know that one time shouldn’t really determine my feelings towards something so harmless, but you already know that I’m fickle bastard. I guess I’ll actually look at the thread now and maybe I’ll change my mind, but I think it should go to someone who isn’t so…apathetic.
You would think there would be some certainty that comes with touching yourself, but apparently not.
Uh, the moon is red pretty often, so I doubt that. I didn’t even see the moon last night, though, so maybe there was a huge 666 (or 515) carved on it…somewhere.
Well, I finally admitted to myself (and a couple friends the other day) that I just dont like Fighting Games anymore. I mean, they’re fun on a casual level when I have a live person to play with, but other than that the shit is just boring as all hell. I use to be able to sit there for hours on end praciticing by myself. Fuck…now I cant even do that for a minute. And playing online isnt really fun as it just feels like im playing alone anyhow…with lag.
I dont think I’ll ever buy another fighting game.
edit - well, if CvS2 hit xbla/psn I would probably buy that.
A red moon is also a sign that celestial objects close to the horizon are red-shifted due to refraction through the Earth’s atmosphere. A really, really red moon is just the Earth’s shadow passing over it, as it occasionally does.
Get worried when the moon has giant holes in it with fire coming out of them.
White shadow kept bugging me to watch Sunshine, the sci fi movie. I kept complaining they typecast the male asians as weak, feminine losers in TV and movies, so he told me I had to watch the movie. So I finally watch it. So there were two asian males. One was strong sure, but he dies pretty quickly, but at least its pretty heroic. The second one is a weak, feminine loser, who ends up dying in an unheroic way. He reminded me of William Hung who I despise.
I was not amused. It was a decent sci fi movie though.
At the end of time, a moment will come when just one man remains. Then the moment will pass. Man will be gone. There will be nothing to show that we were ever here… but stardust…
Not to be needlessly pedantic, but time will long outlive humanity.
I mean, come on. We’re talking about a species that accumulates enough firepower to render a planet uninhabitable many times over, and points that firepower at its own soil. We are not the sharpest knife in the drawer.
Im pretty hyped today. Its my Daughters 12th birthday today. I got her an xbox and a copy of Black Ops (she loves that game) for her present. Im excited to play that with her online. Normaly I just sit there and watch her play (I cant stand split screen and refuse to do it) so It will be nice to play online with her. Not only that game (im not really feeling cod games anymore) but other games that have co-op will be great. Only bad part is I have to double up on just about any game I buy now for that system. Ah, it’ll be good times though.
We’re also gonna go get her a new bedroom set and a new tv for her room but that will have to wait till after she gets back from L.A. with her Grandma. She’s old enough now so we’re gonna let her pick her bedroom set. Well, with a little aid from use. I dont want her puttin’ something funky as all hell in her room.
(Yeah, I’ll have to decline on that Mafia thing, SWBeta. Ultimately, I can’t really clean out my PMs at present… Thanks for the invite though.)
Time will far outlast humanity even if we don’t somehow eventually destroy ourselves completely. It’s fucking space-time. As long as space is around, time will be around and vice versa. I can’t exactly see humans surviving the ended of the universe (provided it even collapses [again])–this isn’t Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy.
Yeah, sure, that’s it.
Lol.
Haha. I thought that guy looked like William Hung as well.
I normally like Cilian Murphy and Chris Evans and downer endings–well, I suppose it’s more like bittersweet ending arguably–and all that, but I just hated that movie overall.
lol I was quoting a line from the movie, and as a long-time lover of all things space-y, I don’t take the quote literally. I’m pretty sure the character-
Captain Pinbacker was referring to the “time” that the earth and the sun had left before destruction
I do love the quote regardless. Go existentialism!
