i got inspired yesterday morning. y’all dead.
Fanned fret idea huh? Interesting.
I meant to post this a while ago. http://i462.photobucket.com/albums/qq348/kazamamaster/part4.jpg
Warwick basses had a design your own “single cut” bass a while ago, in which I finished top 10? I’m not exactly sure where I placed, but I got a free set of 60 dollars strings for my entry. I was kinda pissed at the people who placed higher than myself since I don’t feel that they were real designers.
need to find a cost effective bridge. i was looking at single string bridges- $45 plus shipping for 1!
not bad. looks like a less aggressive Illustrated.
they probably made that contest just to steal designs.
I got a Suhr Modern custom awhile back. made a vid awhile back too

SoundClick artist: temps - driving grooves in the neighborhood of B
I wish I could find a bass bridge for 45 dollars. Stop complaining
I need to replace my gold 6 string bass bridge. I’m looking at spending at least 120.
Anyways, here’s the model I believe that won
The cool thing was that Warwick only built like 3 of the winner’s design, giving 1 to the winner and flying them out to NAMM where they displayed it.
nonononono
$45 + shipping for 1 single string bridge. each string needs a bridge. i need to buy 7 of them! :looney:
well that’s not so bad then. it’s a nice design as well.
@ sakeido: is that Namaste i hear? good stuff
nah, Veil of Maya is my favorite stuff to play right now… learned Namaste back when it first leaked but I’ve forgotten how to play it  in that vid I play Mowgli then I do the first riff from We Bow in its Aura… I can play just about all of [id] except for the two instrumentals and Namaste.
lol i fail. in my defense Namaste is right before Mowgli
YES! Humidity (and lack of it) can SERIOUSLY fuck up your guitar, especially an acoustic. Get yourself a Damp-It humidifier, put it in the soundhole of the guitar, and check daily to see if it needs to be wrung out. Ideal humidity should be between 40-60%.
My drunk roomies broke my Dean so I recently got a remake of a 1950’s telecaster. I pretty much love it.
Anyone know a good loop pedle?

Any recommendations are appreciated, though 150 is really pushing it for me.
If you are just starting then it doesn’t matter TOO much what you get as long as it isn’t some fisher price sillyness. Any of those would be fine, as to which is best I don’t know. It is best to try out a guitar to see if it fits for you. In the end though once you really get into it (if you do) then eventually you will pick out your own guitar that will fit to your liking and style.
I have the remake of the 1950’s Telecaster because it gives off that old Rock n Roll feeling. If you go down the classical route you will want to get a custom made guitar. But as far as acoustics go, I’m not really sure but you will find what you want as time goes.
Thinking about getting this one.

Seems to have good to positive reviews searching through google and it has a bag and guitar, just need more opinions so I don’t feel like its an impulse buy.
@Mr. Mamation
I’ve played guitar for a few months before on my friend’s guitar given to him by someone, so I’ve been thinking about buying a long term one for a while now. Since I have a class now, its really put things in gear, and now I’m actively searching for one long term and for a class.

How’s the quality on this? Its just so cheap and there aren’t any reviews that I could find.
I started taking guitar lessons a couple weeks ago. I’m really getting into it.
currently repainting my friends Peavey repaint. he went from burst (i think) to silver, didn’t know what he was doing, and rushed it. he always tells me “it looked good from far away ” this is my first Ashy 2 Classy attempt.
also i made my practice body blank out of some crappy Lowes wood. i just noticed a crack in it, but that’s not a problem.
i’ll shoot video of it getting cut out on my CNC when i start
The more I play the more I realize that feeling and how you hit a note is more important than getting the correct ones. I been playing ‘Crazy Little thing called Love’ and the solo really teaches you that. Like, it’s gotta come from your gut. And the ever so slight pauses make all the difference.
I don’t know, I used to do a lot of mettle songs when I first started and after moving on to Rock n Roll I just understand music so much better. It’s such a cool feeling
So finally got a good tone out of my Randall Cyclone. Not that it’s “bad” to begin with but the amp definitely favors scooped tones. After countless tries I decided to play with a metalzone through the distortion channel. I only messed with the knobs slightly before I accidentally fell on a tone close to Exodus’s Impact Is Imminent album. I love that tone and couldn’t believe I accidentally got it. Just need to tweak it a little more to nail it. Its really sharp sounding but more so cause of the mids, really gotta boost the bass to give it some body/punch.
