Cool, I kinda knew that pawnshops were known to be sketchy, but wasn’t sure, thanks man.
Well, I would say try a compression/sustainer pedal while using a volume pedal.
Most POD effects pedals come with a volume/swell effect. That’s what I use.
Also, E-bows claim to give you infinite sustain, so look into that as well.
.
Yeah the reason why I even consider wanting to get a nice guitar now is because I know I will devote a lot of my time into re-learning and continuing to learn how to play due to my life being changed after the car wreck I was in. I think having something to focus on besides dealing with medical stuff, lawyers, etc will help me out in more ways then one. I remember when I did play, it was like a mental vacation from what ever stress I was dealing with.
I’m still going to think about it, but it doesn’t make sense in my opinion for some one who already has plans on purchasing a decent guitar a few months or so after buying a crappy starter set, and you’re right about the option of selling the guitar. I guess that answers my question!
A violin type sound would be a e-bow, it works well for that.
About to pop some JJ’s in my power amp section and Tung Sol’s in my pre, should be interesting…
Thanks for the input guys, also I asked my friend and he said something about using reverb and delay, does that sound about right?
not for a violin sound. Reverb is just that, and delay can give echo, slapback, or longer delays.
I say your friend is misinformed.
I am the Capn, and I approve this message.
Delay is a whole different effect. Delay can be cool if you use it tastefully though, so look into that. Loop stations are where it’s at.
What are your guys opinion on the Jackson Soloist?
I can’t vouch for its long term quality or its versatility of sound plugged in, but the neck is probably the fastest I’ve ever played.
yo i dont know if u bought them yet…but i have an agile myself, not too keen on them, they are good fuck around guitars i suppose…that AG-3000 is just a rip off the ibanez S series which is the better guitar. but, you can save urself like $300 by getting the agile which isn’t a bad move at all.
goodm0urning, nice track btw, dont know why no one mentioned it =/
anyone here ever tried busking?
This is why I don’t get most guitarists.
Agiles can be “fuck around guitars” but you say yourself you save 300 bucks. Let me just think of how much BETTER the agile would RAPE the face off that S series with 300 bucks worth of upgrades.
I just got a pimp bass rig:
Lakland Joe Osborn
Mesa Boogie Walkabout Scout
I’ve considered it, but never gotten around to it. Mainly for comedic purposes more than anything else.
This is why I don’t get most scholars on srk.
You don’t have to listen to a thing i said, the guy was asking for advice about agiles and i gave him my 2 cents. I wouldn’t have opened my mouth on the subject if i didn’t have an AGILE, an S SERIES, AND “upgrades”.
What?
… I’ll have to double that statement. Haha… I guess he didn’t read…
Which might explain my “I don’t understand guitarists” line.
Neat thread. Playing an LTD through a Line 6 Pocket POD lately. Not the greatest tone, but it suits me well.
i dont know how u guys saw that originally cause i removed that from my post, cause it didn’t even make sense to me…
but what you can answer for me is what agiles do you (parry & warpticon) own? And have you upgraded them to sound better then ibanez S series? I’m just curious since you said that you can spend $300 on a guitar to rape the s series.
Now I’m not trying to say Ibanez S Series is the best guitar on planet earth, it is not, but it is a pretty damn good guitar to many.
Also why do you post in this thread if you don’t understand guitarists? Are you not one urself? Or do u just read about guitarists…either way its cool.
I haven’t called you any names cause I have better things to do than begin a name calling game. I just want you to answer my questions with some professionalism.
