This has been a development I never understood. I always knew daigo and justin were exceptional players but that pool of exceptional were never limited to these guys. Why people want to over glorified any person is beyond me.

- pay 0.50 per game like the old people did (mostly why they cared)
- play cvs2

At least some people learned that Fuudo plays VF.
SRK has always been about ‘competitive play’ in the sense that the real top players occasionally took part, and a lot of people who wanted to get a piece of that action were really active.
I really don’t think its changed all that much, the frontpage is only really different because you don’t need to register or do anything else to comment, and they want to keep a reasonably active news feed going.
Special emphasis on the last bit, there have been plenty of times when news posts were absurdly few and far between, and it was essentially just a forum site. People that want to go back to that are pretty much free to ignore the frontpage and stay in the specialist forum areas.I thought you and Keits talked about this?

Front page + ads pay for the forums. With the growth of the community and the increasing server load, premium just isn’t enough to cut it.
Err my local scene is at a very shitty state at the moment and I’m having disagreements with the other community leaders on the “where to go from here” part, so with the huge amount of games coming out in 2012 (including GGXXAC+) I’m laying low to see what happens.
