SRK D&D game Prelims and Sign-up thread: Paladins for Righteousness and Booty (mostly booty)

Yeap, how can I DORARARA/MUDAMUDAMUDA/ORAORAORA properly if I can’t be mobile with it.

Someone is paying attention lol.

Anyways so how do I know if I am using the finalized versions or not?

If you’re going off of download it should read as follows. 3.5 listed at the bottom of a cover with I believe a gold sword on it and Gimble will be listed as the Bard instead of the original graphic of what I think was an elf with a lute. This Bard will be balancing a knife on a finger. He will also have countersong listed at lvl 1 in the older version that was not a listed perk. I also was a Bard more often than not. Someone has to sing about the heroic adventures right? and give buffs. Also the Monk will have a crap ton of features per lvl and so will the ranger. It will be noticeable especially if you remember the vanilla builds for the Char. Also as a good secondary source you might try players handbook two as it offers more beginner feats and new starting classes like hexblade, duskblade, and an actual knight not a paladin.

Um, do you have a link to what I should be using as far as a ranger goes lol.

Just got done watching (and processing) Breaking Bad. I’ll get back to this after I get some work done.

That should do it for 3.5 core.

Edit: This version is better http://www.aegisoft.be/costa/data/roleplay/D&D%203.5%20-%20Players%20Handbook%20[OEF].pdf

Manx has this more or less listed at the top of the thread, but this is the official book layout. Every other supplement is long and varied as well as class specific. Masters of the wild or some such, song and silence, fighters handbook ect. As far as ranger builds go it depends what you are looking for and as far as weapons go if manx allows it depending on what he wants in or out you want a bane weapon. Bane weapon on a bow= ded keen on a blade ect. just look up what you are trying to get 3.5 DM guide has some nice weapon and armor properties that can be added and masters of the wild has some interesting paths same with players handbook II and also the treasure handbook which lists fantastic and mundane items as well as what properties do what such as mythril, dragons scale ect. I had a fighters rock Ankeg armor due to less weight penalties and it was full plate which means pretty good in regards to athletic rolls.

If this takes off, I will be opening up other book sources. For now, I just wish for the game to be accessible to everyone.

Yeah appreciate it, that’s what I was already using, just got confused.

I know he said he didn’t want to go too crazy with the magical items so I basically just chose to grab this

It’s basically like a weaker version of a bag of holding for archers.

Instead of a magical weapon I was thinking of a Perfected Composite Short Bow that contained two oil chambers that allowed my Ranger to apply different coatings to my arrows. It would be made so that all one would have to do is stick the tip of the arrow in one of two slots and they would be coated.

I was gonna make it a gift from her brother who was the one that trained her to be a Ranger in the first place. I was gonna offset the initial advantages of the weapon by making it Strength bow and having it be higher than her strength rating so she actually received a penalty while using it but became really bad ass as she leveled up and gained more strength to use it properly lol.

Alright, no others are stepping up for the #6 slot, so I guess I’ll jump off the alternates list for this, provided Manx is gonna help make dat character.

Busty cleric. Choo choo. Channeling my Dragon’s Crown sorceress. If ya’ll are nice, I can try to draw our characters up, if the descriptions are detailed enough for me to get a visual.

Imma wear a blanket as a wizard robe if we do Google Hangouts. Basement dweller status.

Get a hat too and you’re instantly bloodninja status.

I gotta cast lvl 3 Eroticism to transform you into a real beautiful woman. :smokin:

Waaaait…suddenly I’m the tranny?

Yes. /Eyebrow waggle

Yeah, that’s what I hate about the SRD. Deities are not part of it. So, my options are to 1. break copyright and post it anyway 2. Just hope that you guys know what you’re doing 3. Create my own pantheon and go from there.

I’m not doing that 3rd option. I do have a custom pantheon already, but it’s not for this and I don’t want to use it. As tempting as it is to see Neesa roleplay a large-breasted cleric of Hentaimon (yes, that’s actually a joke deity in a different game I’m working on)

I’m probably going to just post up a screen shot from the book. It’s pretty stupid to have classes that center around faith but then leave out giving them an actual faith to follow.

@Missing Person - U got it. :tup:

I like all of those, but I was hoping to get started moving a bit more slowly. I really like being able to write out things before hand. Believe me this game will probably be rather simple compared to what I normally do. I want to start off with a straight-forward dungeon run, which should introduce some players to the game and how I DM and to establish a good story that may develop into a campaign.

I eventually hope to make this a roleplay heavy game where people can duck in and out pretty much when they want and we may have multiple sessions running: one here on the forums where most the RP/conversational stuff happens and on some chat/video conferencing service for the hack & slash nitty gritty.

I’m mostly going by the SRD to keep it accessible to everyone. If you see something that’s different, let me know.

I can type up a mean roleplay. Shit helped be pass all my creative writing and storytelling in school/English.

Wait til my green and pink wigs come in the mail. Shit’s gonna get real…weird.

Perhaps Neesa’s been spying on my rough draft character.

Aw shit! Dress up Roleplay Fridays!

Posted up the deities in the first post, so that pretty much takes care of stuff that isn’t in the SRD. If there’s something else that I missed, let me know.

Once you get the sheet made, link me to it. My account on on MythWeavers is ManxBladesake.
If anyone needs help on their characters, holla.

China ain’t even like D&D Deities. I can’t see them.

Manx, I’ll link you up to my sheet so you can see what I have so far, give me some ideas, or tell me how crazy I am.
