It’s going to be you vs @Tolore. He’s in winners, so you have to beat him two sets straight to win the tournament.
At last, we are at the finals of the Rotation tournament.
COMING BACK FROM A LOSS TO CRAWL HIS WAY TO THE TOP…
THE CO JONES!!!
VERSUS
OUR REIGNING SINGLES CHAMP LOOKING TO CONTINUE HIS WINNING STREAK…
TOLORE!!!
Gentleman, fight well. Remember Jones has to win twice.
This seems appropriate:
Today was the day I realized Moody was legal in balanced hackmons.
Today was the day I mined salt.
I’m pretty sure [not totally sure] but a bulky enough team with perish/shadow tag should be dabes. Unless shadow tag isn’t allowed.
Is Imposter Chansey still top-tier in that meta game?
it’s hackmons, the only thing banned is parental bond + super fang (which is literally the dumbest thing you could possibly do)
i know balanced hackmons has a lot more bans. no guard/ohko moves, wonder guard on anything but shedinja (which runs sturdy anyway) are some examples.
Yeah, Shadow Tag/ Arena Trap is banned. I had some fun with Block + Perish Song Shedinja a while ago.
Usually it’s Blissey, but pretty much. I personally think she’s overrated, but Balanced Hackmons is surprisingly uncreative.
imposter is a solid check to boosters [especially like obvious silly stuff like contrary].
Chansey is solid thanks to eviolite, but you have to be wary of Knock Off users. It’s not terribly hard to make a sweeper imposter resistant/immune, though. I actually have more problems when Imposter copies my walls.
(Much thanks to Mood4food77 and PhantomAngel for the Legendary information. I must admit that I had thought Volcarona was among them, especially as stupid as Quiver Dance is.)
Query: Focus Energy makes every hit after a critical? Or did I just get insanely unlucky against one of those lazy-ass Sniper Kingdras last night?
Whatever the answer, I think I’ll make Escavalier’s ability Shell Armor instead of Overcoat for the moment. It’s not like anyone’s using Hail anyway and there are a grand total of two pokemon who use Powder moves with any regularity.
Scope Lens + Focus Energy = 100% Critical Hit Chance

Critical hit ratio changed so it only has 3 stages.
3rd stage is 100% critical hits of course. Focus energy was changed in Gen VI to up the crit ratio by 2. When using scope lens, it ups the critical hit ratio once more.
tl;dr
Basically what Phantom Angel said with more words.
Alrighty, here’s the deal.
If you all want I can ban all the legendaries provided on that picture a page back for the Wi-Fi tournament and we can analyze the ones you’d like in a standard format from there. If not then the original list stays and we’ll go from there. I’ll read through the ensuing chaos in the morning.
(I see. Thanks to both of you, PhantomAngel and BullDancer. Switching over Escavalier to Shell Armor ensures that shit won’t be happening again, at least on that team and at least as easily.)
Ever since Mood4food77 brought it up me “hating” Rotom-Wash and my correcting him on it, I’ve thought about the subject of which pokemon, if any, do I actually loathe. I was just reminded about an hour ago that I do actually greatly dislike at least one pokemon: Togekiss.
[Insert anti-Togekiss mini-rant here]
[details=Spoiler]A curse upon the head of the fucking ugly albino football with wings, especially since it only ever does one thing and it only got buffs going into this Generation with its change over to Fairy/Flying. At least Jirachi, who could be similarly annoying with its potential for flinchax, got nerfed this generation now that it’s weak to Ghost and Dark. Jirachi also always had andstill has the “decency” (read: ability) to run sets that didn’t revolve around Iron Head even if it also had nothing but Serene Grace–I’m not blaming Togekiss for only ever running that since Hustle and Super Luck kinda suck.
Togekiss, though, always has Air Slash, so if you’re slower than it and you don’t have Inner Focus or Steadfast, the latter of which is mostly on Fighting types weak to Flying anyway, you always risk getting flinchhaxed. This is doubly grating given it means it usually beats any slower pokemon without Leftovers even if its doing crap damage to them just do that, even before its expansive moveset that includes Nasty Plot and Roost comes into play.
That thing is just so skill-less and dumb on top of being ugly too. I’ll admit I’ve never really liked the Togepi line, partly due to the anime, but Togekiss really does nothing to win me back, especially now that its immune to Dragon and quadruple-resistant to Fighting and Bug. Ugh.[/details]
Speaking of disliking pokemon, having finally tried it out a bit, I don’t actually like using Rotom-Wash. Big surprise I know. Admittedly, my luck and battling tactics in general were rather crappy Tuesday night in general, which colored things, but it’s not like I haven’t seen it used to great effect. It’s just…boring to me, though perhaps I’ll give it a try on another team that isn’t Rain-focused just like with Greninja.
At present, I’ve replaced with one of my more favored pokemon: Ludicolo. Given the pineapple duck tells Manaphy, of all things, to fuck off, I think I’ll be stick with it instead of letting Manaphy steam-roll all over me otherwise:
http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/ou-84807124 - Version of team with Rotom-Wash.
http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/ou-85093547 - Someone way over-read here. They were going to get STAB Sucker Punched to death anyway, but still.
http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/ou-85104982 - A pretty damn good Trick Room team.
http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/ou-85111875 - A pretty close match in general.
Hey mood are you on
Sorry for popping up so spontaneously lol I barely have time to actually get on
i am on currently, it’s really tough when we’re in 2 different time zones, tomorrow i will not be on at all
rotom-w checks everything, unless you’re a pink blob or something, you are taking a risk switching into him, he’s also got volt switch to gtfo against problematic pokemon, he’s everywhere for a reason
