Hey Toko, I’d like to be sent the highres lines when you get the chance. I’ve got my wacom up and running now. Oh, how long did it take you to draw that btw? I’m doing a five girl drawing too and each girl is running me about an hour 'n a half to two or more depending. Of course I’m drawing at 400 DPI so it’s huge but still.
I’m up to TaoKaka which is the 4th of the 5 girls. I should be done with both her and Ms. Alucard today and be able to go into the color phase. I’m probably going to have a white background though. Does anyone know any tricks to make a half decent background. Not like a real background with structures and everything, I mean like, color, tones and fills. White can work but I’d like to have options if I could.
Oh, also, last lineart preview is up on my blog. After that I’ll tease the flats on the final image.

each girl took about 30 min to sketch out, and a couple hours to ink. it’s inked traditionally though, not digitally. i hope that helps!
Oh good, we’re at about the same speed then. Even though I don’t do traditional inking for lack of space + messy, it’s good to know that I’m at least keeping up to speed with my compatriots. There are some people who draw amazing things in 30 min or less and it boggles me.

Just a heads up on my Bloody Roar piece, it’s still a work in progress or just might be on the verge of overkill, it would be good to get some crit.
I was originally going to have either Busuzima’s surgery lab or Busuzima himself at the top right corner to round out all the characters of the main story, but the many Busuzima’s I came up with wasn’t making the cut.
I’m totally going to miss the deadline because my life is hell and I don’t have a way to transfer my submission digitally. I’ll share it with you guys later. Some really nice pieces in this thread btw.

I’ve still got tons of work to do. Real life has been a real kick in the pants lately so I haven’t gotten nearly enough done. I’ve been staring at this all day and need another set of eyes to give me an idea of what’s what; if someone would be so kind.

looking good so far guys. I’m hoping to wrap mine up by the end of tomorrow and if I have time, finish another page with just sketches so I’ll be turning in 2 pages total. Btw Hanzou what size, format do you want the submission to be? I’ll email you the hi-res files to print for the book. Usually it’s whatever size, 300dpi, .tif format will be enough for printing.
Edit: Looks like I got done earlier than I thought. Not sure if I should make the round spotlight at the bottom more chromatic or not.
