SRK Artbook arthread!

Are you actually going to print A Street fighter Artbook? If so, when will you release it, and how much would it be?

GREAT job on the submissions!!! [I wish i could draw…]

It’ll be released shortly after the submission portion ends in late July. Probably around early September. Each artbook will cost and $5 each. It’ll be a 20-30 pages and be of glossy paper stock. I’ll put up an ordering thread once we get through the submission process.

Have a Balrog.

niiiice Balrog. good lookin stuff in here so far. Looks like I’ll have to nab a copy when it drops.

hey this question is for hanzou. Are vector images allowed? Or do u think that might infringe copyright policies of company characters? I would like to contribute an image, but I dont want to get in shit for it cuz its a vector image.

As long as you’re not tracing off of someone else’s copyrighted art, it should be fine.

I thought about a redesign for the piece I was doing… something a little more attractive. I’d like to get a little feedback and see what you guys think.

…hey, Im still in this. Haven’t really had time to work on stuff but this weekend I will.
So far some nice looking pics. It looks like Capcom is winning as far as fan service, lol. I hope to change that with my entry…!

Is it Primal Rage related?

Because if it is, you shall have my sword.

No weapon-o.

^^LoL, no altho I will admit some OBSCURE games did go through my head (Fighting Vipers / Eternal Champions anyone?) but I will say it is Smash Bros. “related”…???

I do have on problem with it tho’, I will not be able to color it and I think it deserves to be colored. SO any PS colorist interested in doing some ‘side’ coloring hit me up.

Beautiful work Gammon. Thanks so much for your contribution.

I’m going to do another Darkstalker picture for the book.

Another for the artbook.

Thats really nice man. I need to get to work on mine ASAP

Man, I wish I was this good.

You’re not gonna submit that for the book are you? There’s no rules against it but I think it’ll be best to make something new for the book.

just a sketch i did on photoshop. don’t know if i’ll end up finishing this one or go with something else for the book.

EDIT

Back From Ban Hammer Land.

It’s kind of like the negative zone in SMB1, if you must know. Mods there throw hammers at you while you try to swim away from deadly man eating cartoon squids that can kill by touch.

Anyways…

Nice art!

Uh, where’s the hilt and guard on that guy’s sword pootz?

he doesn’t have one. that’s how his sword is in the games

Looks cool Poot. Yeah TNB he doesn’t have a handguard in the game. I think you could slide his sword up a little so it doesn’t look like it’ll slip on the belt, and make the belt wrap around the sword a little more. His bottom half is a little short too.

hanzou: watch out for the perspective. Objects when they’re farther away needs to be smaller AND closer to the horizon. Right now the guy shooting in the background looks like he’s only standing a foot away from the flag which is really close to the guy running. The ship I can’t decide how big it is cus it looks like it’s flying really close to the running guy. I think you need to separate the value structure of the foreground and background too. I fixed some things in the paint over but perspective takes awhile to correct thats why you want to get it down first before you proceed. Draw the environment first and get it to look right in perspective before you put in your guys. One more thing I didn’t show in the paint over is to make the pose of the guy in perspective more and closer to the camera so parts of him fall off the page. I would lose the guy on the ground or put him way in the background cus he doesn’t do anything for me. Maybe put him next to the guy shooting if thats suppose to be his comrade.
