*There was a bloodbath over a similar item last game. While the database is a great bargaining chip, it’s only becomes useful when the owner of the item can actually defend themselves/attack others. Grabbing the data day 1 means the owner may possibly have a target on their backs from players with abilities they’d rather like to keep a secret of. It also could be a point of contention in shaky alliances.
Seeing as how it was phase 1, players probably had other pressing matters to take care of first. *
