My complaint is all of it. And yeah they could have build up to it. Like The HBO series Oz. Imagine them having a rape scene where a inmate steps to another inmate. And instead of them tussling and scraping, before dude is overpowered then raped. They just have them getting in face, then bam gang rape all of a sudden like. Fortunately that’s not the case with Oz so when scenes like that would come up I knew what was up and could skip.
Not the case with that craziness Tokyo Tribe pulled. No build up, no real transition. Just go from fully clothed. To all of a sudden this nigga shouting goosh goosh, with imagery representing the poor guy’s asshole getting rekt by what is basically the fat end of a baseball bat made of flesh. Then it just gets more graphic from there.
Seriously, I’ve never understood why people skip parts of books, shows and movies simply because they don’t like something. I can kinda understand skipping filler episodes, but still. Just power through it. If I can power through Neal Stephenson’s area descriptive prose for 3 pages, then you should be able to live through a little homicidal butt action.
sheeeeit, Inuyasha and Naruto are the 2 major offenders I gave up on…really they are the only shows I’ve given up on. Inuyasha just kept meandering way off the point, as if the writers actually forgot what the characters were originally supposed to be doing. Episode after episode of nothing, man…nah, fuck that.
*On another note— the complacency of a certain friend is still an odd thing to me… the guy still makes hardly any money…barely even enough to keep up with the gaming habits, actually… (lost one job were he was making at least enough for that; the new gig is a terrible step down)…yet he doesn’t appear to have any desire to improve his situation. It’s like he just threw up his arms and said “Yep, this is as far as I get in life.” It’s baffling to me that people have that kind of mindset… even when their current situation is so limited and worse…they are somehow ok with that…or at least NOT motivated enough to at least try figuring out a new plan…
It also almost makes one feel guilty about sharing any news of a recent promotion (*yep, I did; awesome feeling) or some other success…since it highlights the fact that your life is “movin’ on up” like the Jeffersons while they’re essentially stuck at the bottom and going nowhere anytime soon.
Hung out with my ex’s friend because she came into town. We go drinking at favorite local bar and after I got blackout drunk she apparently offered me a blowjob. I thought my friend’s were full of shit but one’s wife had come to join us to drink and confirmed the story along with the bartender who overheard it.
Apparently said friend was so taken aback that I turned down her BJ she stormed out of the bar. Ah, well. Broad is in the UK now so she’s someone else’s problem.
Naruto just tried to give the manga enough space to expand before going to animation. Yeah, the filler was all fucking trash but at least they had an excuse even if the source material deteriorated in quality over time itself. Inuyasha, however, has no fucking excuse. That entire series felt like a sitcom more than a story with a specific end-goal in mind.
Damn there’s just something about that interface and music that’s had me staring at that shit for the past 10 mins despite knowing fuck all about the stock market, besides people sometimes jump out of windows if it gets too bad.
