My favorite comboā¦reason I picked Viper in Vanilla, I saw Joe do it & I went straight to training mode picked Viper & learned how to do itā¦it was my only combo for like 2 months lmao
Sometimes I do LP.TK instead of MP.TK cause I think it looks cooler haha
LOL any viper who hasnt spent many long hours and many lost matches trying to be joe hasnt been playing viper long enough yet!!!
I one time did this to wolfekrone, and he bodied me using the same combo with seismo feints instead lmao. like a true self employed secret agent boss.
I even use this combo midscreen for alternate spacing in my mix ups, thats how much i like it lol.
Sat down with Viper today just to rattle out some BNBās for the heck of it.
I donāt have a huge interest in Viper, but god damn this character is fun. DAT DAMAGE
Iāve been trying Viper BnBs, always wanted to learn her since Vanilla. I got most of them down, when it comes to an actual match, it looks like I donāt even know the gameā¦ Maybe cause in SF4 I play charge charactersā¦

everyone including krone is finally beginning to understand how stupididly good the top tier is in the game and how the game isnāt as balanced as they originally thought
time to throw in the towel and pick a different character if you want to win now. long gone are the days of picking the character you like and working hard to overcome your disadvantages because with big money on the line, it changes everyoneās perspective on how they play the game
Right. It is solely the top tier as to the reason why Krone got āblown upā. Wasnāt the numerous execution errors, poor spacing, lack of zoning / linear playstyle, and random EX seismos.

I was bored yesterday siting in the lab when I figured out something I didnāt know before and that is the fact that Vipers Sweep & F+HK are safe on block lmaoā¦Iāv had it drilled in my head never to touch HK outside of certain situations ever since Vanilla so I wondered if everyone knew this or am I just a scrub lol.
F+HK is -2 on block, avoids low attacks & grabs, leaves Viper at about Ryuās CR.MK range & good overhead spacing(beats all the buttons a Ryu would press in that situation) allows you to combo after the overhead.
Sweep is -3 according to her frame data but I could only punish it with Chun-Liās super & I did a point blank sweep.

I agree that the ability of some characters to access their Vortex and/or Unblockables easily is something hard to overcome but the characters that are said to be top tier arenāt that much of a problem outside of Akuma & Cammy IMO
fei long isnt a problem? i felt like wolfkrone couldnt do anything against mago. he barely tried to apply pressure to mago
momochi outlamed krone and it seemed like he knew to slide under burnkick attempts.
ill agree he wasnt playing at his best but at the same time the character is seriously overrated.
everyone knows how to fight her now or atleast should since shes been played pretty much the same since vanilla minus several nerfs. im just really salty that theres characters who does everything viper can do but better and easier to use as well. i feel like everyones going to adopt a david sirlin mindset and ruin all the fun in playing the game. ugh i guess thats just the way it goes.

I think F+HK is only safe if both hits connect on block. Iāve been punished by Ryuās low forward on block when one hit connected.
Of course but as long as your spacing is right it should never whiff. Itās also really annoying to get hit repeatedly by it kinda like Akumaās Far RH but with added properties, you can also do it after her overhead as an alternative to beat throws or low crouch techās.

you can get a frame tight ultra if you happen to trade with your opponent after a f+hk .
Some things Iāve learned today while trying to learn Viper via ātrial by fireā IE, just playing ranked matches:
#1- I suck balls. Went from a measly 1,200PP down to barely above 400 as I type this. LoL.
#2- Burst Time will not, in fact, catch Fei Longs CW on reaction. I tried, CW stuffed. Maybe I mis-timed it?
#3- Getting EX Seismo when I want Ultra is annoying. Oh, neither were good options, but if Iāmma die I wanna die in style. U1 is certainly stylish!
#4- Being a Rose/Chun main for years and trying a character that has no footsies? /headasplode. I keep trying to footsie with people to start offense and it just seems like viper sucks at it.
At any rate, Iām having some fun learning a totally new style of character, so growing pains aside, itās been good.
Speaking of HKs, if you get a counter hit far HK at the minimum distance with wide-hurtbox characters, or if you hit a focusing character close-ish with a 6HK/close HK and get a counter hit on the second hit, you can link a cr.mp sjc U1. At least it was so back in super. Havenāt tested in AE due to impracticality.
Now, back to DotA.
Yup, and if you hit with the last active frames, you can get a c.MK to link. It is impractical, but still possible.
Oh gosh, when I play this character I feel that my brain and my hands donāt work together. My execution is so ass.

why the f would they decrease recovery on her normals? Do they not realise that the recovery doesnt matter because you can just feint cancel them anyway? does it even make a difference?
