Thanks, but I keep getting paired down at the start XD so I get to like 8 people left in the bracket have a shot at messing up and still come like top 3.
I have to be able to pressure like Flash Metroid it’s pissing me off XD, I can do like 3 strings before I mess up, if I can do what he does I’ll probably win all my locals XD, how do you do it Flash?
I remember back in the day when I was an less experienced Viper and Coos kept handing my ass to me because I couldn’t do anything online like Instant BK or just plain combo, ah those were the days.
Also you know what I’ve never seen anyone use a l.BK to dodge a special grab I wonder why? its like hawt stuff.
Need to work on my ground game though. And I need to stop spazzing out sometimes, haha. Still feel I’ve got a long way to go with Viper, but hopefully I’ll get there.
Nah you’re really good now, you’re better than me at executing stuff that’s for sure.
The only thing I see that’s off about your Viper is when you pressure you use the same pattern like 2-3 times, you back dash for stuff you don’t need to back dash to, you do really risky stuff and you that you feint in between a Seismo to m.TK which is stupid if you do, you’re just make it harder, if you went for a reset sure that’s fine; that’s pretty much all I can see that’s wrong. But I sucks XD.
Also I likes SJ l.BK after Seismo chains it like spaces you and they get jumpy about you doing a SJ BK.
Yeah, I backdash A LOT, haha. Need to stop that shit. As for feinting after an Ex Seismo, that’s in case the Ex Seismo is blocked, in which case the recovery is shortened. I do tend to use the same patterns ad nauseum, but what risky stuff was I doing, apart from the random Ultras, which by the way, were supposed to be Ex Seismos, lol.
But as for the Seismo you have enough time to wait and input a Seismo chain / SJ Bk out and they still can’t touch you XD. But that’s just me I’ve practiced so that I can change the move that was supposed to be in the chain.
Like say I was going to do c.mp > m.TK feint > SJ BK, but when I do h.tk feint I see him backdash I would quickly change the SJ BK into a Seismo chain. (lol brawl)
You’re doing better than me execution wise though, still can’t do Hard Trial 3, I know I suck and I just cheated Hard Trial 2 I just did FFF > EX Seismo > m.TK > Burst Time XD.
Nah, my Viper’s kinda random, lol, so I’m nowhere near 1337. BTW, we need to get some games in soon. I’m always up for a game of Lag Fighter 4, lol. Seriously though, must be a pain to find fights online where you live.
I like playing in lag it helps with fundamentals, srsly.
But when my house i done being built I’m using wired period, the connection is like x3 better.
Online is like me playing SFIV while watching youtube and listening to music, and chatting to my mates XD.
There’s this one guy who lives here and he’s got an okay Viper. My mates who seem to have no idea how Street Fighter 4 works. They’re the only ways I can play other people when I’m not in a tourney.
But all I do is sit in training mode practicing distance, execution (which I still suck at.) and just messing around with how?
To be honest, trying to emulate another player’s tactics can be hit or miss at times. Generally, you want to take what you see and figure out how it will benefit how you want to play the character.
Everyone will play Viper differently as there’s so much she can work with. I’ve always felt though that the best Vipers do what is needed to win, since like the top 3, she has tools for everything (though crappy at times), its just that poor decision making and not paying attention to the little things (spacing, specific strings, etc.) is what separates a mediocre Viper from a great one.
I agree. Trying to x-copy people isn’t always a great idea. Street fighter is a thinking game. You have to understand why to do things. Not just do them because someone else does it. As long as you think your way through every match you will keep leveling up and develop your own style.
Yeah, I know, I’m not copying him, I just want to be able to keep pressuring without screwing up
I play way differently to any Viper, I mean I FADC > Grab a Ryu if he does a non EX Hadoken. I concentrate more on what he does then what I do, so basically I play Viper on reaction.
A video I made on positioning after her 3 types of burning kicks. It will be nothing new to the experienced Viper, though. I made it for a friend, that’s why it was thought of so late lol. No one asked until as of recent, but the positions have been around for a long while.
Hey guys, I’m not new persay but I’m not very experienced and don’t play very often. Recently though I really want to step up my game… however I suck. I’m such a terrible viper and I’m not sure how to turn it around. I was wondering if I could get some games in with some of you so I could get some help. It’s pretty bad man. I lose to random scrubs sometimes, and if there’s a lil bit of lag it’s game over.
Any advice for a newbie would be appreciated and I’d love to play with some of you
Where are you from? We can get some games in if you want. I haven’t been online for ages but I’ll be coming back soon.
As for improving, your best is to read the threads here, watch vids of other players and find several good sparring partners to help you with your game.
