Spy Headquarters : C. Viper General Discussion

That is, if they dont mash srk.

I have yet to incorporate fff in my game, I can do it in training mode, but still no consistency at all :(( Viper has low life so you have to maximise the damage done to compensate for it in each opportunity.

So I got myself a used copy of the 360 version of the game, and I have to say, the network connection quality is noticeably better. I see more 5 bar connections a lot more often.

I’m not gonna waste my time grinding championship mode though, lol. Building BP in ranked mode was a lot faster. Got to 2k BP in about an hour and a half from 0. Played a Viper along the way too! Not sure if he’s from SRK tho.

And finally, for some reason, it seems like I’m getting less display lag on the 360 version… My PS3 is connected via HDMI and my 360 is connected through component so it’s apples vs oranges, but it’s definitely a bit strange…

urghhhh n e tips on getting UF when doing hjc / instant burning kicks? i keep getting up + bk instead of uf + bk when doing qcb+uf+k … pissing me off!!!

Using a stick? Got a square gate? If so, then just get in that corner. Make sure you are in the upper corner before hitting the kick.

yeah using a square gate, i keep aiming for that effin corner but every single time i roll over up first. i saw magman post that he HOLDS upforward to make sure that it comes out, but even when i do that i get straight up BK some times

I finally learned FFF, i can do it pretty consistent in training room. But what is stopping me from doing it online is the lag issue. i feel like even though its a very strong combo, the lag makes me just go with the bnb combo instead.does anyone else feel this way?

Stay away from FFF online!! Unless the connection is perfect…But even then you might miss the timing due to lag. Stick to her other BnB’s

i agree, but theres a part of me that wants to try online, even though lag is a huge deal. i just want to use it in game, because i dont play anyone really in person,so online is all i got for now.

Go for it. Unless the lag REALLY REALLY gets in the way, it can be done. I for instance just go into player match and just pick one thing to work on during a match. Ive done it with FFF and ive managed to get a bit better. The biggest thing I had to work on was actually landing a fierce punch first of all, then when I got better at that I started to work on my timing and now I can do it every once in a while.

i think im going to stick with it,just training mode for a while.im still having problems on p2 side. but p1 side no problem

Guys, I think stringing seismos is the best feeling. I love it when your opponent just sits there and takes it. It’s a good stress reliever lol

Just wanted to say that.

This is the topic to discuss randomness like that.

I like how you put that there lol:wgrin:

I don’t see why lag is such a big deal. Personally, I find FFF combos pretty easy online at as low as 2 bars.

^
I dunno, I’m finding it difficult to perform online now for some reason. Like sometimes I can perform it consistently in connections as low as 2 bars but I can’t perform it in better connections. I don’t get it.

Anyway, at the moment I’m still working on my Viper as always. And I’m always playing badly as always, lol, but sometimes something clicks and I start doing well. My Viper’s very inconsistent.

And cancelling my normals in Ultra gives me very great satisfaction. As does perfecting Gief players who try to counterpick, lol.

I find FFF pretty random online unless the connection is near perfect. I mean I can hard body it in the lag if I really want to but it’s just too risky. Mess up and Viper goes flying in the air or EX thunder knuckles for the lose.

I’d be lucky to get EX Knuckle, a good percentage of the time I just get a HP Knuckle then I get owned, haha.

Got my first taste of SF4 in a long while today and I must admit that I wasn’t as bad I thought I would be. Got off a few FFF’s, as well as a SJC FADC’d Ultra, so I was pretty satisfied. I think I would’ve done better if the stick wasn’t a square gate…but at least I got to play lol

Which reminds me, what’s the easiest move to SJC into Ultra from? I was guessing c.mp

Try cr.HP…that seems pretty easy…so does cr.MK
