worse, burger king slowly induces a heart attack you can feel ya heart slowing to a stop. that thing looks like it’ll just a take you out after a few bites
i would eat it lol just to see how good it was
Ok, I’ve been looking into Viper as a secondary for some time now. I’ve always been interested but I’ve been paranoid about spending more time on her than Akuma. Will it be required for me to practice more with her just to get decent with her? If so, what do you guys recommend I practice on first?
Thanks!
u will have to put in alot of time to learn her so if ur up for the challenge go for it, i would learn her Bnbs first learn how to do instant burn kicks, feints, and of course FFF as thats a big part of her game. then try learning the matchups and do lots of reading so u know how to punish certain wiffs.
What does FFF mean?
fierce, feint, fierce.
when you do a HP or cr.HP -> Tk feint -> cr.hp
you can do either a ex seismo or lp/mp tk outta that and it is safe on block. basically the start of her bread and butter combos
Ah ok, well I guess I’ll start practicing with her tomorrow. Wish me luck!
IMO there’s no such thing as getting “decent” with Viper. There’s no middle ground with her like shotos and chargers (esp. Boxer.)
It’s Pro or bust with her, so picking her as a secondary is a waste of time IMHO, especially if you’re doing it to make up for bad match-ups with your main, seeing as Viper doesn’t have any Free match-ups whatsoever, and 50% of them are against her.
Whatever time you spent learning Akuma, triple that, and add in a 200 losing streak because you WILL lose your first 200 matches, don’t care how scrubby the people you’re playing are, you will lose indefinitely.
Oh wow, that post actually scared me man :crybaby:
I guess I’m just stuck as to whom to pick as my secondary, but I still wouldn’t mind getting to know how Viper works.
Yeah you might as well start brushing up on some Viper stuff now just so you aren’t totally lost with her anymore. The issue is if you seriously want to pick her up you’re basically going to have to make her your main or basically a second main (kinda like what Kindevu and Marn do).
Yea, I was kind of thinking that. Thanks for the help guys.
Lol Token Im in the same boat as you, I main Ryu but I want to switch Completly to viper but Im horrible with her. Its not true I lost 200 straight matches, I am only playing in G2 but Ive manage to win a few just by learning some of her Challange mode combos and Charging at the right times. But yea, Im pretty bad with her and I have to say, I have respect to all the Vipers out there because she Is probably one of the toughest characters to learn.
Token686, you know what’s also great about playing viper? Dedicate a month to her or a good 500 matches then pick up your old character…you WILL become much better. Seriously, after playing 550 matches with viper (only played with her 10 times before july 10th or so), going back to other characters is a BREEZE. She makes you a better street fighter player overall
no doubt ive played over 5k matches with her and i can just go to another character forum and just read the combos and im already better then most lol.
So true lol
Since you are in Statesboro, you can always come to Augusta and play me. I can show ya some stuff and ish.
On another note, I can fight Honda pretty well, well as well as Viper can lolol. :looney:
Agreed.
Well, I’m start to play slightly more solid now, which has helped a lot. I actually have a zoning game now, lol. I’ve gotten better at the Ryu match-up which has made me happy and I’ve gotten better at landing my Ultra through AAs, HP Thunder Knuckle trades, sjc’d normals and sjc fadc Ex Seismos. Still just a trainee Viper though so I’m going to take a break from online sparring and go back to training mode. Hopefully I can have some offline sessions soon.
If playing Viper makes you a better Street Fighter player in general then I’m game!
Yea, we should definately get together and play a few matches sometime man.
Also, I was looking at the Viper combo list. What in the world does sjc. flamekick mean?
Super jump into Burning Kick basically. Makes it travel further.
So true…
Viper taught me better spacing and like Ryuga, I tend to play a little more solid than I did before. I main’d Ken before switching to Viper and I still play him every now and then - I must say that your execution improves dramatically as well. Hell, I don’t even play Guile and won a few matches with him against some decent people at my arcade lol…
