First off, I totally called that she would have an 8 way dash and that her Seismo’s would be corridors. From what I saw all of her normals from SF4 remain intact. I saw c.jab, c.fierce (still looks hella slow), c.strong, c.forward (Looks like there’s hit boxes on the boot now?), forward RH/close RH, j.short, neutral j.forward, j.strong, j.Fierce (causes a knockdown) but she also has a new jumping punch.
Thunder knuckles look super fast but FTK no longer puts them in a juggle state. EX TK blows through projectiles and still causes crumple stun. I think TK Feints are still in but not the same as in SF4 I saw Viper do a TK feint at the end - that or TK’s have instant recovery because it looked like a mind fuck move of TK whiff/feint walk up throw. Seimo’s are ridiculously fast, they have really fast recovery (almost instant), and they OTG. Seismo’s also look about as safe as throwing a fireball (which is a big improvement from them in SF4) and it looks like you can rapid fire them without having to SJC them (Viper did 2 consecutive whiffed Seismo’s). You can still feint her Seismo not sure how useful that’ll be considering how fast MVC3 is. What I found super sexy was that in one of the videos she calls Ryu Tatsu assist and while the opponent was blocking Viper just rapid fire Seismo’s during the block stun. It’s giving me ideas for my team if I can find a proper trap character assist (Come on Hsien-Ko). Really surprised they put the focus attack not sure if it has the 3 levels like in SF4. It’s pretty good but the amount of damage she takes from absorbing hits is pretty nasty and some of the damage is not recoverable but it does cause a crumple stun on hit. Burn Kicks are multi-hitting in a juggle combo like EX BK’s. It looks like BK’s puts people in a juggle state for combo follow ups. I’m fully expecting some new BS with IAD BK or TK BK’s, combo, Super. Her back throw still in and it’s also an air throw (Man that would be really useful in SSF4).
One of her Level 1 Super’s is her super from SF4 and she can combo it off of a TK like in SF4. The other Level 1 Super is her Ultra 1 - Burst Time but their wasn’t a single video that combo’d into it so not sure how good it is but it wouldn’t surprise me if it OTG’s so I expect the typical MVC3 combo flowchart should work. Her level 3 is Ultra 2 - Burning Dance but instead of an aerial super it starts off with a TK. Good change in that you can land it after a TK but it’s also bad in that if it was still an aerial super it probably could have been combo’d from a juggle.
The combo they showed in her demo vid was c.jab, c.forward, c.FiercexxSeismo, IAD nj.Forward, j.Fierce, land, close RH, j.strong, new jump punch, nj.forward, dj j.strong, nj.forward, j.Fierce, OTG Seismo. The push back from that video is weird because in one of the match vids he did a similar combo ending in j.Fierce but there was no push back so he could OTG Seismo into a relaunch combo. Fully expect a super follow up after wards. In the case of the j.Fierce push back if DHC’s still work the same as in MVC2 I bet you could DHC for extra damage after the OTG Seismo.
Her IAD’s and triangle jumps look like the fastest in the game. I’m hoping for some interesting BK shenanigans with her IAD’s that lead into MVC3 flow chart combo.
What I want to know as well is what her X-Factor does and what she does for her assists. I’m hoping for an AA corridor Seismo but chances are we’ll get FTK as an AA assist. If the leaked list is true then my team is going to be C.Viper, Hsien-Ko, X-23/Magneto/Dante.
